Attend mediumship displays, and take part in hands-on, practical workshops led by local and international witches, including T. Thorn Coyle (author of ‘Evolutionary Witchcraft’ and ‘Kissing the Limitless’), Patrick McCollum (author of ‘Courting the Lady’) and River Higginbotham (author of ‘Pagan Spirituality’.)

Entry: $8 Standard Entry. $5 Concession and for PAN membership card holders. Early visitors will get a complimentary show-bag – available until stocks run out. (Also, free entry for children under 13 – with door prizes for best-dressed junior witches, wizards, faeries, goblins et al…)

Hi Ed,

It'll be great to see both you and Don at Magick Happens.

Just in case my email to you didn't come through, I'll be quite happy to be interviewed by you either during the event or over the course of the Parliament - it'd be a distinct pleasure to do an interview for once that goes beyond the “So what do Pagans believe?” and “So this isn’t devil-worship?” type questions that I get from mainstream media here.

It may surprise many of your Witch School members to know that in Melbourne, the host city for the Parliament, witchcraft and associated practices such as divination were still *illegal* as recently as five years ago. They were outdated, archaic laws, but their presence had all kinds of implications - equal opportunity employment, marriages between Pagans, hate-speech, etc. In terms of community development, having such a strong presence at this Parliament (and events like Magick Happens and Cirque Noir to coincide with it) is an extraordinary evolution from where we were not so long ago.

Don and I will be making it out to this event, if Goddess willing. We will be simply participants.
