on Sunday I had to go to the hospital after suffering a injury to my shoulder. When I was in the emergency room. I was put in a room with seven other people. When I sat down I noticed that one of the people was wearing a big wooden cross on his neck. As I was sitting there I was listening to their conversation about a man that was in their church that had just fallen and was suffering from a coma. After a few minutes one of the men looked at me and asked me did I go to church. I then looked at him and told him I did not go to church due to the fact that I've followed a different religion. He then asked me what religion did I follow. I then explained to him that I was a Wicca high priest. He then asked me about my beliefs and did I know who Jesus Christ was. I told him I knew Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of the Christian religion. And that he was the father the son and the Holy Spirit and that he was the all of the Christian religion. I then started preaching the Bible through them as a Christian preacher who would do. After I was finished preaching to them I looked around and everyone was silent. They could not believe that someone of the Wicca religion news so much about their god and to Jesus was. I then looked over at the wife of the man who was in the hospital and asked her what her husband's name was. She told me that her husband's name was Hoss. And the reason that they called him that was because when he was in the military he always wore a cowboy hat. I then put my hands together and started visualizing a ball of white energy as I had my eyes closed I visualized Jesus being in the room with us and producing this ball of healing energy and sending it into the universe to be laid upon this man that was suffering in a coma. After sending the energy into the universe I finished praying for this man and I opened my eyes. I looked around the room and started filling the of emotions coming from everyone in the room. They cannot believe that someone from the Wicca religion had just sat there and prayed for a man that he did not know. As I looked over towards the man's wife she looks like she was about to cry and she told me thank you. As everyone looked at me they also told me thank you for doing what you just did. This is one of the things that I have always wished that I can see in the Wicca religion is putting our differences aside and working together to make this world a better place to be. We all must come to realize that there are many religions in this world and there will never be a dominant religion due to the fact that we are all on a spiritual journey within our lives. And we all must come to realize no matter what country we live in we will all have different beliefs in the Lord and lady.

Thank you for sharing. I enjoyed your story. :)
thank you for your comment. I do hope that this story will reach the hearts of all pagans and allow them to realize that we can work together with Christians.
What a wonderful write and I thank you for sharing this with us today , and you are correct in saying so , its about PEOPLE and LIfe and correct we are all on a journey BB
we all must come to realize that on our journey we are going to come crossed a lot of people that have different beliefs and fall of different religions. In part of being a Wicca high priest or high priestess is knowing about these religions and deities.
Beautiful
it is beautiful went to religions can come together and peace and harmony and learn from each other.
Lovely story which shows both your faith and intelligence. I believe that if we are to call ourselves Priests & Priestesses of Wicca, we need to know about the religions of others we come across on a daily basis. We need to know, so like you we can look for the common thread in all our faiths and join together in occasions like this.

You are a credit to the Priesthood. Many Blessings on your path.

you are absolutely correct. A high priest and high priestess should understand the belief of all religions and not just the religion that they follow. If we are planning on helping mother Earth to be a peaceful place we must come to realize that we cannot just help certain people that we must help every one no matter what religion you follow.
For over three years now I have been working at a Christian church in music . . . for the church's sponsored addiction recovery ministry. I have had no problem seeing Jesus as a path to Divinity, and he is as real to me as any of the other Deities I pray to. I do not see him as the one and only path, obviously, but this church is a credit to this community. As a closeted wizard/witch I am often frustrated by the scientific, social, and literalistic views of the members, but it does not stop me from loving them. I am also frustrated about needing to remain silent about my true faith in order to remain active there. My wife tells me that I can see myself as a "super-hero" who needs to hide his true identity so that I may do good things. This has helped me a good bit, but there are still times when I feel I am living a lie. Just once, I would like to be able to stand up and say "I'm Batman!", er, "Pagan Man!"

I often am called on to pray, and I pray as a Christian, in the name of Jesus. When I read this it was a true blessing to me. I really do not see myself as a "Christo-Pagan". But the connections I have made with my Christian friends are precious to me.

Oh, and a couple of people at church are actually aware of my "secret identity", and have proved faithful in the keeping of that secret.

I guess that everyone needs an Alfred.

Thank you so much for sharing this story. Love like this cannot be ignored, and you have proven yourself to those in need.

May you be blessed!!!!!
Larry
I would have to say that I am very proud of your beliefs and the work that you are doing for Christianity. I myself am very open about my religion and I am asked a lot by Christians do I believe in Jesus Christ. I do tell them that I do know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. And when I am praying for someone who is a Christian I do go to Jesus as they would. But when I call upon him I visualize him being there with me at the time. This way I know he is listening to what I say because he is in the room with me. I do believe that day that I was praying for this man and visualizing him in this room. I also believe that by me praying for him this people felt the presence of Jesus in the room since I was visualizing him being there in the room. Whenever I am speaking as a high priest of Wicca to any Christian group I always allow them to ask me questions about Christianity and I always use tax out of their Bible to help them understand our beliefs.
Heartwarming. How I love this about our religion....meeting others where they are at, not evangelising, trying to convert to our way of thinking but true positive regard for anothers needs. I also learnt somthing..how to relate even better to my Chrisitan heritage...thank you so much for your deep compassion for others
there is one thing that we must learn when we are practicing our religion. And that is love and light. And if we want to be the best witch that we can be. We must come to realize that a witch is in tun with everything and their surroundings. This also means people from different religions and different cultures. And we must come to realize that we cannot keep condemning the Christian religion for what happened during the burning Times if we want to shadow other religions that it is time to put our differences aside and make this a better world to live in.
