Is any one else having problems? I came on here and shared my beliefs, some agreed, but others told me i wasnt a true pagan. I know how to handle it in real life but what do you do on the internet? I guess its just them but i dont want to be stupid and not change if thats what i need to do...

It's interesting to me that you've posted this and gotten so much support, given that you felt people hadn't supported you previously, Morgan! I think you can put that argument to rest at this point, eh? LOL ;) My first thought was that I really haven't experienced anything related to it, as I've had very little problems feeling supported on this site--only ran into literally one person here who's been unfriendly. Everyone else has been supportive and kind, and very welcoming to boot! I think that is one of the things that's so great about WSI!

And my next thought WTH? How are people defining a "true" Pagan? Do THEY even have a clue? Cuz Paganism is a pretty broad umbrella term for so many different religions, it's kinda hard to have a real definition--the definition is AT BEST pretty loose! So to hear everyone else here tell you pretty much what I was thinking was good to see--it helped me to know that I wasn't blindly going around thinking one thing that wasn't accurate! :)

With all this support, I hope you're feeling better now?

Hugs and BB,
jen :)

Keep following your path....leave those who are negative to the side, they are not necessary in your adventure. I am Wiccan and I have my beliefs and many may say the same about me as they say about you...but it isn't what they say that matters at all, it is what is inside us, what we believe in that matters. Blessed be!

A true pagan, now there is something you can spend a life time defining and never come up with an accurate definiation as to what a true Pagan is. Can there be false Pagans if there are no true Pagans? in a way yes there is. If you are someone who tosses on a Pentagram and walks around saying you are yet you don't practice anything you just think it looks cool, then you are a false Pagan giving us a bad name.

How ever if you are one who is truly practicing it, however you follow no traditional path, you are still a Pagan. The glorious thing about being Pagan is that you can follow it how ever you wish. We are an open arms religion who accepts all paths because we know there is no true path to follow.

To me, in my eyes, a true Pagan is someone who follows a earth based path and attempts to better themselves and the earth by harmonizing themselves and best as they can with the earth and those around them. That to me is what a true Pagan is. That is just me though there are just too many ways to define it.

Lady Morgan, as long as you truly believe you are Pagan and truly hold the religion and the ideals we hold dear close to your heart, then you are a true Pagan, and any who say otherwise truly have no idea what being Pagan really is all about.

I hope these words make you feel better and help you to acknowledge who you are and believe in yourself.

With up most respect
