Big Win for Pagans in New Jersey, Board of Education Approves

New Jersey State Board of Education approves Pagan/Wiccan holidays ...

From the Examiner:
This morning, the New Jersey Board of Education voted to approve their list of religious holidays permitting pupil absence from school for the
2010-2011 school year. Included for the first time on this list are the
eight Pagan/Wiccan holidays, or sabbats.  This marks the first time any
state has approved Pagan holidays to a state calendar, and will set a
precedence for other districts and states across the country.

This is such great news!!! I know that soon it will be enacted in the other 49 states!!! I have an 11 year old daughter who I am raising in Wicca and I think that if other religions allow for excused absences for their religious holiday then why are we any different!!! Way to go New Jersey!!!
wow...that is pretty neat...i wonder when tx will start doing that
I dont know Queen I sent it to CMA maybe someone will pick up on it their But its ok to me BB
Alright !!! thanks may I share this BB
WOOHOO!!!

great news! Bravo New Jersey!
What Great News!!! Blessed Be.
this is great news i hope that it does step it up a notch and lets other states know while this may take time it is time well worth taking by any means
this is great news, but excusing children from school is not the rightest thing. if work places are closed that is religious toleranceb but school.... i am not sure
If children can be out to honor christian holidays why should our children not be able to celebrate ours...this is awesome news....we are on the right track. It is time we are recognized as a religion! Enough of the children hiding their beliefs. I hope more states follow including TN!!!!
Blessed Be..theresa_mysterious
