Can We Classify JESUS CHRST As A WITCH in the defintion we are using for a witch in Wicca

Merry Meet
Jesus Christ, in christianity, has been portrayed as a person with extrodinary powers, which he is supposed to have used for the good of the people
Islam has recognised jesus, son of mary, as a prophet in their religion.
However Christianity has classified 'witches' as people with more powers than normal, used for evil purposes.
We in wicca do not accept the use of these powers for evil puropses. however we use the term 'witch', for people with more than normal powers. also we do not mind using Jesus as a personal diety.
enough and more discussions come for opinions, wether one can be a christian and witch/pagan

So my question
Can We Classify JESUS CHRST As A WITCH in the defintion we are using for a witch in Wicca
opinions please
Blessed be

I have shared this same message about understanding the Christian faith on this forum before, Phoenix . . . only to be told that we shouldn't care about what others believe. "We should only worry about ourselves and our own personal beliefs." While I do not think that this is the way most of us see it, some of us do, and I couldn't disagree with them more!

While I don't think we should go around "preaching" our religion to people, I do feel that it is important that they do not FEAR us UNREASONABLY. The only way that this can happen is if they have a basic understanding that we believe in the sacredness of our world and in the power(s) which govern our universe.

I personally came to love Jesus many years ago, and leaving Christianity for Paganism did NOT change that. Following a God and a Goddess who have many faces/persons is not that different from seeing the Divine through a Trinity. Rev. Don once said that we should meet in the middle . . . on the common ground that we all share. I believe that if we take that approach, we needn't expect others to change in order to meet our own expectations . . . nor do we need to change. We can learn from one another, not just in spite of our differences, but BECAUSE of them. The secrets of our traditions can still remain intact; it is our WISDOM we need to share with one another.

*applause* Our commonalities are what makes peace on earth possible, not our differences. The differences are what makes life interesting!
There's room for every point of view except those which would force the will of others~ As a Jr. High History teacher of mine told us - "Your right to swing your fist at someone goes only as far as the end of their nose. If you touch them without cause, you are in violation of THEIR rights."

I am sorry for being a Johny Come Lately to this post. I may be posting something that may have been posted before.

I see the Christian Concept of God, mainly Jesus as a form that fits into all the major arch types of the God, at least as the Correllian Tradition views the aspects of the God. Making him a very easy to relate with form of Deity to many. Though it does seem at points limiting and missing of the divine feminine. She has managed to sneak herself in all the same.

As King we see him ruling over the nations (mainly in a future aspect.) or the individuals that give themselves to him. The older saying in the early days of the United States, "No King but Jesus!" comes to mind.

As Sorcerer we see him performing miracles. Healing the sick, stopping the raging storm. Feeding thousands with just a few pieces of food.

As Lover see him waiting for his bride, be that Israel or the Church, depending on the denomination. Many times he we also see the god of sacrifice, which Jesus also does indeed fulfill.

As the Hero we see him combating the wiles of the one they view as the source of all evil. Overcoming the challenges that he brings forth, especially in the tempting in the desert. As well as standing up to the religious leaders of his day.

all said above is true but it still relates to the jesus who is founder of the christian religon, not the man in flesh and blood who lived.
as larmie rightly said 'jesus, as we know him, is a creation of early gospel writers, as they had come to see him, many years after he was crucified'
that is recorded in many places. I am talking of the real man who lived and actually got crucified.
blessed be
