Your Online Wicca and Magickal Education Source

I'm new to this site and wanted to say hi to everyone here! I kinda just wanted to introduce myself since I'm looking to meet others who also share and love this path.
I'm still really young and I know there are probably going to be a few people out there saying I shouldn't be involved with Wicca because I may not know what I'm getting into, but I do. Only saying this because there are a lot of people who are still minors themselves that call themselves Wiccans when they have no idea what the basic beliefs are, and only do it for the witchcraft. I love Wicca because it's helped me look more deeper into myself, and it is a much more tolerant religion than any other I've ever seen, but I still know enough to respect all other religions as each one is just another way for us to get back in touch with our creator.
I try to get into as many things as I can. Even though it's not a lot right now, I am still learning the basics of Wicca, practicing to see aura, I meditate a bit, and I've gotten my first Reiki attunement. Although I haven't been able to do too much lately because of the regents in school, I'm planning on getting back into all of this by this weekend and during the summer. (yayyyyyy Litha!!!) =D I'll also be starting my astral projection lessons over the summer too.
Soo that's a bit about me, I'm really glad I have the opportunity to even do all this!! =] And I really want to thank everyone on this site because everyone, directly and indirectly, has a huge impact on my life and how I live it, so thank youuuu ;D

Merry Meet! I'm new to the site also and thought I'd welcome you. If I may ask, how old are you? Because you say you are young but you seem very mature, and it seems like you know who you are and what Wicca is about, so I don't see why anyone would judge you. I think some of the younger people get judhed because like you said, they are just into it because it's "cool" and they don't really care to understand it or put work into learning about it. Feel free to stop by my page, I think I will be coming here often and blogging, etc. This seems like a geat community and I'm happy to be a part of it!

Namaste!
Lady Josephine
hi. im new too. ive been studying wicca for 3 years and im ready to learn how to perform spells and rituals.
I'm new to both this site and Wicca... I lost my religion (Christianity) several years ago and haven't really tried to find another one until a couple of weeks ago, but since I found Wicca with google, I've been reading books and watching videos and trying to find others like crazy.
It's really nice to meet all of you! I'm actually 15, and I'm lovin Wicca for many more years to come ;] I've been studying a lot more lately, and really feel this is the right thing for me to be doing. Also Ayslyn, I don't know what books you've been studying but if you haven't heard of these ones I've heard they're not that bad, and I have a couple of them myself.

*Wicca: A Year and a Day by Timothy Roderick is really good. It covers the basic stuff you would need to know but it really focuses on the experience rather than just learning it.

* Scott Cunningham is really popular. It's not as much of a guide, but it's still good. Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner and Living Wicca: A Further Guide for the Solitary Practitioner. He also has many encyclopedias on stones, crystals, metals, herbs, foods, incenses, oils, etc...

*Solitary Witch: The Ultimate Book of Shadows for the New Generation by Silver Ravenwolf

*Buckland's Complete Book of Witchcraft by Raymond Buckland
Those are actually exactly the ones that I'm trying to find! I watched several videos on YouTube and the woman in the videos, TipToeChick I think was her pen name for the site, suggested each of those. The only one I've been able to get my hands on so far is Solitary Witch. I have to be very careful with the book though because if any of my family sees it I'll have explaining to do that I'm not capable of right now.

Does your family know and accept that you're a Wiccan, Alycia?
My mother is fine with it and allows me to do whatever within it, but I'm not allowed to drink wine. So, if I were to sometime soon do a specific ritual or something that involved that, I'd just replace it with juice. Also, she wouldn't want me to do anything involving sex *only putting it up because of Beltane* or going skyclad if I were to ever join a coven. My step father thinks I'm crazy though, and I don't know what my real dad thinks because I don't talk to him as much anymore, but I do know that he also doesn't mind. =] You can find all those books on amazon, that's usually where I get mine.

im new to the site too! my name i morgan and im really young also. ihope everything goes well for you and maybe we could be friends.
Thank you, best wishes for you as well with Wicca and everything else! I'm talking to ya right now on the chat room... so, added you as friend too
Sorry I vanished...I can't get online on the weekends since I'm at home. That's really neat that your mom is okay with your faith, Alycia. It must be a great relief to not have to hide things from her or worry about her reactions.
