HOW TO CUT OFF THE BEEP:
Step 1: Click on the CHAT tab located on top of the page (Between MY CLASSES and COMMUNITY)
Step 2: Look at the Ning Chat. Notice near the bottom of the chat box there is a section to type. Feel free to chat with other WSI students here. The beeping is caused by people chatting in the community.
Step 3: Look next to the yellow smile face located right above the enter text box. Directly to the left is a button for the sound.
Step 4: Click it ONCE.
Step 5: Exhale. The beeping has vanished.
I hope that helps anyone who is looking to turn off the annoying chat beep sound. Feel free to stop back by the chat to talk with fellow WSI members :)
The easiest way is to look at the bottom of your screen. You will notice a bar on every page that says Witch School International Chat/ # Online with a icon and green dot. You can click this to immediately pop open the chat and then follow Steps 2-5.

1. First cast a magickal circle around the computer.
2. Poor the ritual lighter fluid onto the the computer
3. Strike a match and fling it onto the computer
4. Laugh maniacally
5. Take the consecrated ritual sledge hammer.
6. Make Computer pancakes
7. Thank the Gods
8. Close the circle.
It was quite affective. :)

lol love it! the only bad part is.. you can't use it again after you're done. :(

Permalink Reply by Sparrow on I actually like the Chat beep , when I come on to the site and here lots of Beeps it makes me think " Witchschool is ALIVE TODAY.
For real , I know that no one believes me but I like the "beeps" , when there are many 'Beeps" it makes me think that things are fun an active.
Permalink Reply by Phoenix Rising on With the 'new' chat, look at the 'Members Online' box on the bottom right, and click on the little sunburst logo, and click on 'sounds off' - it took me a while to find it! LOL!!
