Hey everyone. I'm in an interesting situation...
I completed the First Degree course about 5 years ago. At the time, I was too young to apply for clergy (I was 16 or 17 at the time). I remember having a mentor, but as it was so long ago I don't remember who it was. It's not listed anywhere I can find either.
So I started the Second Degree courses some time ago (I've been taking it very slowly, as I was doing a full college load, and now I am working). I found a mentor who I liked. As I understand it, most mentors do things a little differently. She was my second degree mentor, but she had me writing essays for her before she would recommend me for first degree clergy, and at the same time I was taking written tests for my second degree.
Anyway, I still had not completed all of the first degree requirements she had for me. She has recently been let go from the school (probably none of my business as I don't know the whole story), which puts me in an odd position. I'm still in need of a mentor recommendation for First Degree Clergy status (right?) but I would like to not have to start over with a new mentor and their way of doing things, if I can help it. My old mentor has all the records from what I had completed for her, and I'm sure she'll be happy to pass them along, but I need to find a mentor who is willing to pick up a student in this rather odd position.
Can anyone give me any recommendations for mentors?
