This is a very good point Fantum, While discussing things a lot of words get thrown around but let us not forget that it is bad choices of individuals that cause these terrible things to occur and it is not because they are "Christian,Satanist Witch etc.." that atrocities take place on the personal level.
And of course I agree with the media aspect of your argument remember the old media saying "If it Bleeds It leads"
Merry Part
In deed it does, look at the countless, statements they use just to get their articles read. I see all kinds of words that get tossed into the mix, I see the same things with people in general, using each other phases, words,ect.. sure its easy to place blame, she did it , they did it, child's play. people make choices and when they dont come out right, someone else did it! How many times have i heard my children, and grand say these words? and Your right if it bleeds its news! I guess everything must be a punching bag, because they wont and refuse to take responsibility for their own choices, so lets mix the clay.
I think for growth to occur in A human being the very first step one can take is to step away from the Victim Mentality. A "Victim" is not a person in the process of proper development.
We are all guilty of this from time to time but it is an amazingly freeing experience to say to oneself
"I am not as Victim I am probably the one to blame."
Now know that I mean this for adults as a philosophy. There are Genuine Victims of course BUT what I am speaking of is the outlook one has one the world and on the Human race as a whole.

Look at "Right wing talk radio". My father is completely addicted to Conservative talk Radio and all of it is based on ONE premise,Fear.
All of these shows start right off with a fear based premise now if you or anyone reading this is a Republican I am not talking about Republican positions I am speaking of the "Trick" Of their talk show hosts.( I am very independent in my political views and do not hate Republicans.)
It comes back to our point "Convince the audience to be afraid and they will tune in"

more thoughts on victim mentality.
statements are made generally maligning one sect and when person of the sect points out apology is made to the particular person personally, but general statement is left untouched. after some time it penetrates into the people of that sect who think they are inferior human beings. this is how witchcraft has been suppressed for centuries and 'pagan god' is an inferior god. this is the victim mentality.
it is up to us to change it.

Exactly you said it perfectly, Problems go unsolved but people go on "Belittling" or out right attacking another sect or group.
MM sparrow
witches have taken it too long. now is the time to change this. we have to be sure to tell the world that we are something to reckon with and not libelled or slandered at will. witchcraft cannot be blamed for any freak trying some negative stunt in some remote corner of the world. we have change the perspective the world looks at us. let us unite in one voice

for the past couple of weeks I have been talking to some of my friends in India. I had a feeling that there was a great deal of black magic being used by the citizens of India. After reading this discussion I took the time to look at some of the other things that have been going on in India pertaining to matters like this. This was written by Calvin today.009
India: Eat human flesh in rituals to find hidden treasure
This is really wierd and strange. Read for yourself, the following article from the Times of India.

In what could be termed as an advanced form of banamati or sifli ilm, members of a nameless sect have made eating human flesh a part of the pujas they perform to find hidden treasures.

The human flesh comes in a package along with other articles required for a special puja. The samagri, as the package is called, which includes a 100 gm piece of roasted human flesh, is reportedly supplied to members of the sect through some agents in Hyderabad. "Maas to samagri ke sath hi aati hai (the flesh comes with the samagri)," Boudhey, a member of the secret sect, told The Times of India.

Boudhey is presently involved in a puja on the periphery of Dadgi village in Humnabad taluk of Bidar district. Though the sect is still in the initial stages of formation, its practices are considered much more dangerous than banamati and sifli ilm, the two notorious forms of black magic in the area that falls in the erstwhile Hyderabad state. Most of the members of this new sect reportedly hail from Hyderabad, Medak and Bidar districts.

But as the special puja must be performed only at a secluded place, they hire houses in small villages in Medak and Bidar districts. Most times, they are forced to leave the place once the villagers learn about their activities. In some instances, alleged performers of this weird ritual have been killed by villagers on suspicion of being practitioners of banamati.

Since 1999, seven such suspected practitioners were killed by villagers in Medak district while 12 others were forced to leave the villages. Despite resistance, followers of new sect manage to rent small houses to perform the puja. The 40-day ritual, it is learnt, starts on a new moon day which falls on a Sunday. At the conclusion of the puja, they believe, a supernatural figure that looks exactly like the person performing the puja appears and leads him to the hidden treasure.

But to ensure success in the puja the ritual performer has to eat human flesh. If he fails in the first attempt, another puja of the same duration is conducted, this time with a greater quantity of flesh.

The first incident that gave rise to suspicions of human flesh-eating practice came to light about six months ago in Hallargaon village in Bidar district. Some villagers stormed the house of a person in the village on suspicion that he was practising `banamati. They were shocked to find a few human bones and pieces of roasted flesh. "He was an outsider and he never returned to the village," Abdul Haneef, a villager said.
do people really believe these things work ? And what is the report of treasure found ? are all of them any richer?
Its not uncommon to hear about people eating human flesh, some tribes even drink the blood of their dead, and with food becoming scarce, we could possibly chalk this up to just about anything, but packaged humans , sounds like solent Green to me.Yuck

the report is true these things happen in remote parts of india too. however the said treasure was never found and the police subsequently arrested the man. it is believed that in metaphysical transmutation otherswise known as alchemy, transfigurations etc where the sub atomic particles are supposed to reconfigarate to form a diffrent substance, human flesh and soul are supposed to be used even among european trasmutationers. sir issac newton was a noted alchemist. as for the rest of the blackmagic, soul leaving the body and returning is believed in wiccans too. one of our noted saints sai baba of shiridi is supposed to have done it twice to save people from floods and plague. a figure like him appeared at the scene and helped people whereas he was in a closed room those days with only faithful servant allowed. faithful servant claims that baba's body was lying as if dead those days he was in the closed room.
as for the rest i have not been to those places and cannot comment about that

MM again.
black magic is everywhere, including europe america africa etc. that is what gives 'white' witches a bad name. that is precisely the point of this discussion as the examples given by ocean witch and me. i once saw a video produced in US wherein a white man pulls apart a white woman into two at the waist. both parts are alive. leg is tapping and head is howlinfg infright and moving by hands. i dont know how much is trick and how much is true so i cannot comment on it. however what struck me was this is precisely what creates a disbelief. when one makes an abnormal claim we ask for video as proof, and once a video is produced we promptly dismiss it as trick photography. that was dubbed as witchcraft too.
blessed be
you say suppose to have done, their is no evidence of this, so I suspect most of this is linked with superstition, and most of this possibly is paint , we can now do a lot of things with film. as for the man , just as I suspected,
he never gained a dime. [sub atomic particles ] I don't think the man had a clue as to what these are. he was looking for life's elixer just as so many others, and it drove him mad, he had a break down and abandon these. yes he was known as a occultist but he walked away. So I look upon him as more of a astronomer and mathematician and theologian then anything else.
MM
eh??? have not understood the context
