Hi there all! I have recently acquired a new addiction known as Tuvan Throat singing. There are twelve different styles, but the one I have recently learned is called Kargyraa. This is basically where by using your "ventricular folds", you would drop whatevr note you're singing by one octave, giving this sonourous, low, echoing sound coming from the bottom of your throat. Then once this is mastered, you would then master the overtones:a second set of notes used for a melody which is sung at the same time as the low droning note. Oh, I almost forgot to add, that there are also two types of Kargyraa, steppe Kargyraa, which is sung with a higher droning note, and then there's my type: Dag Kargyraa, or "mountain" Kargyraa, which was used by shepherds in Tuva to pass the time in the mountains. Here's a clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4rppeqXjsc

NOW! To the question I had! Does anyone know of any vibrational work that could be possible using this form of chanting? It has a much lower vibration, so I'm not sure if it would be better or not for things like Chakra work and such. Any feedback would be nice! Thanks guys!!!

Blessed Be!

Wow, if you had not told me otherwise, I would have thought that I was lisitining to some sort of instrument (and at least two of those). that is pretty awsome.
Maybe this website can start you? It's called "The Magical Use of Voice"

http://www.philhine.org.uk/writings/rit_voice.html

Also, Tibetan monks use throat singing, like here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_vkaVksYxMs

Some inspiration for magical/spiritual use there, too...
Maybe one day we'll hear you, yes? ;)
Incredible!
