My brother told me a co-worker expressed her concern about her son who is studying Paganism and Wicca. She's open minded but she was asking a lot of question. I feel that she should join this website and even though she has no intention of becoming a Pagan, she does want to learn what her son has interest in. Would it be ok to have her join and let her see what her son is into? I thought that it is great how she wants to know what her son is becoming or has became.
Any thoughts on this?

She is welcome to join this group. I think it would give her an overall idea of what her son is interested in. She doesn't have to comment or participate if she doesn't want to, she can just look things over. She can also email me with any questions or concerns that she has.

I understand very well, and thank you that was helpful advice. My brother is a Pagan. For what I understood is that she has a child who is a minor and wants to become or has became a Pagan. She doesn't believe in the Christianity aspect of their religion or Catholism. But she wants her children to decide for themselves and not tricked or talked into. What their interest are, she supports them as long as she can learn about it and understand. I trust my brother's judgement since childhood and he knows how scheming people are and those that are authentic.
hello, this is Kerstin the Mom of the young Man, who is actually not a minor he is 19. He considers himself a neutral wiccan. I just want to get some more insight into the history and practices of it, and yes as I had stated I am very open to other beliefs and in no way against it. the only way I would be against it would be if it was satanic, which he is not. My mother is a Reiki Master and links this with the power of prayer and meditation. I do believe that all things happen for a reason, that Karma is there (good deeds come back to you in good ways, bad in bad ways). I use gems and stones (quartz, moqui marbles, etc. for added energy flow , healing and love receiving reiki) . i really enjoy finding out about other religions as I am not as firmly set in mine as people may think. My thinking is : if it helps yourself and you are able to help others with your knowledge and beliefs (basically anything good you can do ) why would you not want to share that knowledge and have it appreciated. My Mom and my massage therapist both send me reiki and I appreciate the extra energy. so any info I can get is helpful and I have already found some in the pdf documents available on this website. thanks so much for sending me this link
Hey! Welcome aboard! For the way Le'Va was talking I had assume that he was a minor. My apology!
I never heard of neutral Wicca. Sounds like eclectic to me, I maybe wrong. Wicca isn't Satanic, I assure you. I use to look down upon Satanist. When I bumped heads with a holy roller, I was calling him narrow minded. Later in time, I found out a friend of mine is Satanic and I stepped back. But I had to hear her out. I was being narrow minded too. I decided to learn what Satanic is and understood it. I also discovered that Satanic is under the Pagan religion and has nothing to do with the Abrahmic Christian religion. Totally opposite for what I had thought.
Wiccans do not believe in the devil or satan. I'm an electic Pagan and haven't consider myself a Wicca (that's why I'm here). I'm new to Wicca but not knew to Witchcraft.
I think she should at least either join the site or at least study a bit to understand it better. that is what I did, and that is when I realized what I was. So I think it will be cool for her to look in to it.
