Wow, okay that helps. I dont think ill use magick. i dont want to be responsible for anyone getting harmed in any way. ill play fair and if i win ill know it was because i deserved and and if i dont i will congratulate the winner with a smile and get on with my life. thanks for your advise, i feel a bit better now, knowing what my opptions are. :) ...Namaste... thank you!
Moralitly bores me, tbh. I say you should do what you want.

Consider, however:
Will you harm anyone? Are you willing to harm that one to win?
Will you enjoy your prize even if you did not earn it?
Will you feel guild?

Personally, i wouldn't do it. Because by cheating, victory becomes meaningless.

On the other hand if it isn't forbithen, it is allowed. That whoever made the rules didn't take magic into consideration, makes it posible that using magic to win is not cheating, depending on exactly what you do.

Fair and honest competition, though, IMO.
Motality indeed bores me. Discussing "good" and "bad" things is to me, very stupid, because things aren't "good" or "bad", they just are. When discussing morality you discuss a pre-made, divine set of rules placed (by god?) that determine the quality (in the good/evil axis) of the thing. This is pointless to me, and as such, i never advise anything basing myself in "good" or "Bad".

Personal morality is another thing entirely, and i cannot advise on it either, because it is subjective, and there is no base guide or rules on it.

It's not "wrong" to cheat. Personally, i wouldn't do it, because it's pointless. I avoid harming anyone as much as i can, and taking away the ahivement makes the action meaningless, wich is what i tried to say in the above post. The OP might have a diferent opinion, and harming a person might not be "bad" for him/her, and to be honest, that is cool with me, i won't advise her in chainging her point of view on personal morality. I instead tried to give objective advise.

I did read and agree with the wiccan reed. But not because it is written there, but because i think the same way. Maybe that illustrates my point: if anyone comes in and tries to convince me about chaining my morality with the sole argument "this is bad/evil/wrong" i fall asleep.

Don't take me wrong, by most people's standarts, i am a good person. I just don't label anything/anyone as "good" or "evil" and prefer objective to subjective advise in the matter.
Dear Claivynx
You raise a very interesting question. I actually disagree with Rev Gia, with all due respect, because performing a spell to win a contest is, by definition, not going to harm anyone. It is "luck", and you are swinging the luck your way.
However, keep in mind that you are one little person in a large pool of people who also want to win. The amount of energy needed to go against them is enormous. What is on your side, is whether the Universe wants you to win. If that is already behind you, then to add your own energy can only help.
The biggest issue is whether someone else needs the prize more than you do. You can emphasise in your spell that for you to win must be "in the greatest good of all concerned"
Consider doing a spell for whatever it is you need, rather than this specific contest, and the Universe will find other ways to bring it to you if you don't win.
Blessed be,

What if you do a spell for things that you need, such as to help stay poise under pressure? I think if you approach doing a spell on a personal level and not just to win, you'll find the spell more rewarding. A personal spell to enhance your performance isn't cheating, it's no more then an extra little edge and confidence for you. In the end, your skill, poise and beauty will still be the most important. Good luck. Let us all know how you do!

Blessings
Laura
thats another way to look at it... thank you :) .......ill let u know the outcome.
Blessed Be
