After the horrible tragedies after the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, Peter Dybing a logistics specialist who works on huge natural disasters and is a first officer of the Covenant Of the Goddess
saw a need and did the right thing,
He started a page on First Giving a website that allows people to set up charity collections and chose a charity that will do wonderful hands on work in Japan . Doctors without Borders .
With that simple act of charity and concern , Peter opened up a venue that the pagan community could wrap itself around.
Forgetting the petty differences we have with one another, and coming together for a common cause.
Ed Hubbard made the proper comment on the radio telethon Pagans Tonight did in support of the Japan relief effort when he aid "Peter gave as a realistic and attainable goal",this is very true.
During the show something very magical happened also , we saw people form all different segments of the pagan movement come together and agree and discuss community, and growth of the "Community".
Some have made a major point of saying we are not a community but a movement before and said such things as we have no real structure .
well if this is true and we were just a movement then I venture to say what we had the privilege to see on Saturday last, was the latest of a new Genesis of the birth of Pagan Community .
Some will say i am reading too much into this but Leave me to my folly and dream of a community that will one day work together again to build our faith and to not spend our wheels spinning in the mud of our differences, and begin the roads that will take us into the future and make a better and safer place for our children of Gaia .
