From Tony Mierzwicki:
VERY IMPORTANT for all my Pagan friends:
One of the Wikipedia editors has been attacking our community and recommending a number of our elders for deletion, viz Patricia Monaghan, M Macha Nightmare and Luisah Teish. The alleged grounds for deletion are that they are not sufficiently significant or notable to justify inclusion in Wikipedia. This should not be underestimated as Wikipedia is a convenient first port of call for seekers.
Regarding witchcraft and Stregheria the editor writes:
“… the facts are indeed these:
1) People who promote "witchcraft" are either charlatans or severely mentally ill
2) A good number of these Strega folks are Satan worshippers, for whatever that's worth
3) The rest of them are a bunch of New Agers who have gone way, way, way over the deep end, spending too much time sucking on water pipes in Santa Cruz and imagining that their deceased Italian forebears are going to drop down out of the sky (or rise up out of Hell) with advice on imagined medical problems, real financial problems, horrible self-created relationship problems, etc. …
There should be an NPOV way of getting across the idea that these folks are a whacked-out, highly marginalized minority with extremely dubious beliefs. There should be a polite way of saying this. If Wikipedia can offer a Holocaust Denial article that lets everybody know a certain group is seriously looped, then certainly it can do so about a pack of aging, overweight, chanting devil worshippers belly-dancing around the redwood trees.“

M. Macha Nightmare:
From Mike Nichols:
URGENT!!! To all my Pagan friends. PLEASE READ!!! (special tags to Selena Fox, Fritz Jung, Tony Mierzwicki, Paula Jenny Johnson):
What a day! I had no idea when I woke up this morning that I would be joining in a fight to defend the reputation of one of our Sisters. For one editor to initiate the deletion of the Wiki entry of a much-admired poet and author of well-respected books about mythology like Patricia Monaghan, along with M. Macha Nightmare and Luisah Teish, demonstrates a definite bias. To do so a few days after Patricia's death is malicious. This same editor wrote this vicious, bigoted statement in a discussion about the entry about Strega:
"There should be an NPOV way of getting across the idea that these folks are a whacked-out, highly marginalized minority with extremely dubious beliefs. There should be a polite way of saying this. If Wikipedia can offer a Holocaust Denial article that lets everybody know a certain group is seriously looped, then certainly it can do so about a pack of aging, overweight, chanting devil worshippers belly-dancing around the redwood trees."
For those of you who follow a pagan path or have read and appreciated the work of any of the authors listed, please go to their Wiki entries and rate them. If you have a Wiki account, please consider letting them know why these authors' entries should be retained by following the links from their entries.

omg i am officially disgusted at this -__-
It only takes a few minutes to register on Wikipedia so you can go to each of these author's pages and rate the actual page being considered for deletion. Make sure you rate the page, not just go to the links above.
I have an account please explain how i do this?
If you look further into Wiki, this Qworty has nominated a number of our people and places. In one the M. Macha Nightmare one, this person claimed delete because "she's a witch. LOL"
I find it disgusting. I am currently going through wiki to find more of his actions. It seems like one person who has a hateful agenda against us. We need to band together and fight back. This is ridiculous.
In total I found 16 people this Qworty has either put up for deletion or has commented on to have it deleted. Looking at the different pages that this person has their name on, they are all of "new age" or "alternative" religions or subjects. If anyone wants the list feel free to mail me.
Merry meet. Just come to me this information and this problem also occurs in denouncing Spanish Wikipedia. Article Wicca in Spanish (http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wicca) is controlled by a Unitarian Universalist activist dedicated to suppress, boycott or report any relevant information about Wicca, citing him in a conflict for being Wiccan which provides information in an article in Wicca. After an arduous discussion and although I complained failed to prove malicious intent on my part librarians have sanctioned that I can not edit on anything that has to do with Wicca and writable only "talk" and the information will be included have a majority explicit acceptance. It distorts information, modifies and allow false and misleading data. In my particular case as the HP of my Wicca tradition, refused to include relevant data and has manipulated to give a confused and skewed reality such as that Wicca has been recognized as a religion by the Governments of Spain and Portugal through recognition by the government of both countries celtíbera Wicca as religious affiliation. In fact does not seem relevant the data and even accused me of publicitarme and advertise my "group", as if it were relevant to two different countries had recognized as the Wicca religion. As I was only from pagan wikipedia editors, I decided to leave and refer to wikipedia Comunity space Pagan Paganism encyclopedic web that is free of censorship and be serious and academic. They can see (in Spanish) all these circumstances in "Discussion" article "Wicca". Since Wicca celtíbera unreservedly support your claim and if they want to formalize complaint. I'll contact Brigith Temple of tradition here in Spain to formally communicate this commitment. Bless you.
