tameran wicca

i am new to the wiccan world(yea i know alot of people have said this but my question is a little different) i am into tameran wicca and i would like to know if anyone has any information they can give me about it or any books to read about it.
i have already started reading circle of isis by ellen cannon reed and it is quite helpfull i just want to see if anyone has any other helpfull information.
OR.
should i just read about the general topic of wicca and get an idea of what it is or should i go off on my own path?

I've been recomended to read Egyptian Paganism for Beginers, Circle of Isis and Awakening Osiris: An Egyptian Book of the Dead.

The Witch School course list offers a class on the Egyptian Pantheon which you should find helpful, and there is also a course on Isis.

Permalink Reply by Fantumofthewinds on February 28, 2010 at 11:29am: Gardnerian Wicca this is the worship of Egyptian Pantheons , and even though they left us much writings they told us very little of how they worshiped or details. the best one could do is study Egyptian mythology and since that country had close ties with Rome, Isarel , Jews , their is much blend, so in reality its hard so say just what their beliefs were , as much is left unknown to us. Your best bet now is to research Egyptian mythology and learn as much about Wicca as you can. Start by learning the Wiccan deity archetypes and try to figure out which Egyptian netjer fit those types. Decide who is the Mother in the Egyptian pantheon to you, the King, the Dying God, the Warrior, etc... This makes it easier to figure out correspondences for Sabbats, Esbats, and purpose specific rituals. Learn about Egyptian magical principles and techniques and try to figure out how to incorporate that into your spellwork. Most importantly, meditate to meet your Patron god or goddess, because they will be an invaluable guide to you on this journey.; ▶ Reply to This
