ya i waz thinking about tht to ,about the atheists.
my teacher gets annoyed when someone sits down
Please make sure to spellcheck your posts, dear, and type out all of your vowels. Chatspeak is uncalled for on a forum post.

As for that little problem, when they say "God", why don't you echo "God and Goddess" in your head? I do it every time I'm faced with a similar situation, and it works.

Deity, the Source of All that Is, or "whatchamightcallit", doesn't care what it gets called, you know... The Christian God is just another aspect of that Deity, as are the God and Goddess of the Wiccans.

Live and learn to live with tolerance in your heart, Zenua. That's important. Wiccans are known to be the most tolerant of all religions - so start learning tolerance and open-mindedness now. And, the ability to change words in your head, until you realize that no matter what names people use to call Deity, it's all the same (What's in a name?) because Deity will take the form it needs to take to reach every person. To some, Deity will be Yahveh. For other, Lord and Lady, and for others Shiva, or Allah, or Zeus, or... Do you get it? :)

Don't fret about a word. Simply echo what sounds true within your heart.

why should anyone care if i left out a vowel? itz easier and its my disscusion....
im not trying to be rude but i dont think anyone really cares
oh and i am very open minded and i do understand wht your saying, i waz just posting wht i just recently discovered and never knew before
Not to be rude, but we do care. Please type things out, people will be much more willing to help if they can fully understand what you meant by your post.

Thanks and blessings.
how do you not understand that
wht= what or
tht= that
or itz= its
its know fact that a person can read any word as long as it has the same first and last letters.

Can you read this?
I cnduo't bvleiee taht I culod aulaclty uesdtannrd waht I was rdnaieg. so ya that proves my point
whtever oh SRY!! I i mean whatever, happy??
because it doesnt mean THAT i dont care about the disscusion it just means i would rather have answers then spend hours writing the question. if you can understand it then it shouldnt matter. you would still be able to give an opinion or answer. and no body should disrespect me cause of that and if you do well then you dont follow the goddess because its not right to disrespect someone because of the way the speak or type or any other reasons. and if so many people have issues with my spelling then why are people commenting on it? oh and it makes me arrogent cause i type weird??? you people need to get a life instead of haseling me on my spelling if you dont like there is a simple way to solve it......... dont comment on my disscusson!! easy as that....
The "goddess" says nothing about respect of others. That has to do with character. If you don't care about how you write the question... then what does that say about YOUR character?

It shouldn't take you hours longer to spell out your words correctly... And in the future if you plan to be taken seriously you WILL be expected to write intelligibly.

if you have a "red squiggly line" underneath your words why not just right click and correct and save yourself the "hassle" of being criticized for your spelling. By the way... trying to prove that you shouldn't have to spell correctly by citing Cambridge's study is what makes you "arrogant." bad spelling just shows that you don't care about your intellectual integrity.

The fact is that when some of us act like idiots, no matter how smart or wise we are, pagans in general will be seen as idiots. How do we prevent this? We try to fix the problem internally, expecting some level of thoughtfulness and community respect from everyone.

so nxet tmie wehn you wnat to slepl lkie tihs, cnsidoer how aiynong it is to raed. It is all aobut cimnumty rcespet!

Thank You!

Just do your best (like I see you have BEEN doing), and that should be good enough. Did anyone bother to notice that you are 13? Typing skills take a while to develop, people. Give the young lady a little slack, and remember the rule of 3 when complaining about someone Else's problems.

If I thought that the issue was a literary one (she doesn't know HOW to spell) I would not have commented... however she obviously is capable of spelling... so her misspellings are logically, on purpose- to annoy, or because of laziness or an attempt to be cool. It causes harm to be negligent, and allow a child/teen to continue to engage in behavior or habits that will inhibit their social growth and responsibility as and adult.

At thirteen I knew how to spell simple words, especially "what" "its" "that" and more. If she misspells difficult words, I am not near as bothered. Good spelling takes a while to master. The fact is, this young lady seems to prefer to "not give a crud" rather than present herself as HER BEST.

I would say the same thing to my teen cousins, nephews, nieces, and when my daughter is that age, her too. I hope people would have done the same for me, too!

She can chatspeak all she wants in texts and chatrooms... but in here, it is appropriate that we limit the chatspeak as much as possible. If I said nothing, and later down the road she realized that no one would take her seriously... was I not negligent? If you don't teach a child to be responsible, and then they grow into an irresponsible adult, are you not negligent?

Tough love isn't always nice... And no I don't think any of us expect perfection, this isn't going to be published... but some level of caring is important. I hope she can learn the lesson now, before the repercussions can be ACTUALLY serious, like when she goes to college, applies for scholarships, or enters the work world and has to un-learn her bad habits. I used to cuss up a storm, and it really bit me in the back end when I had to un-learn that bad habit!

It's just words, right?

Blessed Be

you know wht itz a habit after a while you just type like tht and it shouldnt be anoying and if it is then just stop commenting!!!!!!!!! i am soo sick of this!!! yes im lazy ,are you happy now? sure im arrogent and im such horrible teenager, there now move on!! and dont make any more on my comments if you gonna continue with this..........
Hello!
There are plenty of people who have trouble with the wording of the pledge, but before you get any more upset about it than you are already;

The pledge is to the flag which represents this nation, not necessarily to any God. You said: " and to the republic in which we stand ", when the wording is actually " . . . and to the republic for which IT (i.e. The flag) stands . . . " .

The words "under God" are actually used to define define the nation as being subject to a higher power, and that doesn't have to mean anyone's God in particular. As a matter of fact, this nation, along with only a handful of others, protects my and your right to worship any God we wish, and for our Satanist brothers and sisters, that means them as well.

While I am fully aware of the bigotry, and hatred which exist here, the ideals of the constitution are precious to me. Its the implementation of those ideals that still needs alot of work. I am an American Indian (a term which I have had to make peace with), and no one has had it any tougher here than our people, yet we have fought along side with those of European descent for the ideals represented by that flag.

So, when your class is saying the pledge, just remember that the God and Goddess are united in all of creation and when you say "God" you are meaning something personal for you, and I do not believe you will be offending the male/female divine. It is your right to worship and practice your religion here as you please . . . in fact it is protected by the constitution of the country represented by that flag.

So . . . grow up in wisdom, and help us to make the changes that are needed . . . because this is one of the few places on Earth where you can actually do that.

Blessed Be!
Larry
Any prayer has no power unless thought and feeling are put into it. As you are saying the pledge echo God in your mind with Goddess. You are the one that makes your words uttered important! You are the one that puts the feeling into it to transcend barriers to reach Diety! What you are thinking about when you pray is what the prayer is really about. Try using the pledge in this way to jump start your day. You would give thanks to the God and Goddess and you could use it to even ground and center yourself to get through a stressful school day. Make lemonade out of lemons...ya know? BB *Mara
