The Question of Leaderboards on This Site

Ning as part of their movement to a professional only sites (which we are) has given us the option of creating a leaderboard. This basically shows the most active blogs, photo's, people, etc. on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as I choose. It shows up on front page, and also on a tab.

I would love your opinions on this, before I decide to do anything.

I agree with Magickal Hummingbird. I do NOT think a leaderboard would be in our best interest.

while this is a nice feature to have, I think it's lovely that this site doesn't work that way! I don't think it suits the learning and educational character of this site. In this day and age people are so competitive especially online, that eventually it seems that it doesn't matter what you say or show as long as a lot of people will respond to it. Let Witchschool be the safe haven it is, and leave popularity out of it.
It would be nice to have featured members or blogs who are recommend by the admins of this site.
