Hi Everyone,

What would you put in a museum for modern Witchcraft? This is not a complete hypothetical, as we may be working
soon with the World of Witches Museum.

The exhibits must be interesting enough for the public to want to pay admission. It must
be visually or intelectuall appealing, affordable to build, and
truthful to the modern movement. Also no Salem Witch Trials, as this
will likely be in Salem. Finally it will be contained in a 1800 ft.
square place.

Otherwise the sky is the limit.

Blessings
Ed

Ps No idea is silly or outside, unless it's offensive.

I would love to see the history and mystery of Stonehenge in in the museum. I have always been fascinated by Stonehenge and how it came to be.
I think that maybe a slide show of the contents of a BOS, so that the visitor can see what's inside the BOS without actually touching it. Also display a cauldron, wand, athame, pentagram, boleen, scrying mirror, pendulum, stones/crystals, besom, incense (with holder) and candles and cards or something to show what that tool is used for. I agree about the need for the history of Wicca and Paganism to be told here. Also show that Wicca is not related to any of the book religions. And you can't forget the importance of a familiar! Perhaps show photos of some different types of familiars (with which you have their witch's permission).
everyone her knows the witch trials but what about the slaughters in other countries in the name if the right religions. this has gone on will all religions but ours is a rich history that spans many if not all continents for thousands of years and still goes on with our as well as other faiths. i havn't come across a single incedent where we fought for anything except to exist. i think it would be nice if the facts of our history in the world were better known. people might not fear as much.
The wall paper should be all written and fact of the Salem witches.
Sample altar set ups from certain traditions
some old books that were printed in 1880-1900, some of the authors's (like crowley) personal belongings, books read by them etc. as a matter of fact it would be a good idea to keep sections for varios historical people whom we read about like crowley hermes john dee etc.
blessed be
I think the history of Tarot, Ruins, and Palm reading should be included. I also think an exhibit explaining our many symbols should be there....Pentagram, broom, and such.
