My name is Brooke, and I've been a Wiccan since I was 11 or 12 years old. Around this time I began to develop an empathic sense, and as I've grown older it's become stronger and more intense. The problem is that due to various and sundry things I never learned how to control it, and the net result is now that I'm 19 years old and essentially (for lack of a better word) spineless. I'm so keenly aware of it whenever someone around me is upset so I'll do anything to keep the peace-Hell, I get knots in my stomach whenever a friend a few states away is having a rough time!
I'm currently in the process of trying to give Wicca a bigger role in my life, and I know it can help me take control of my gift so I can actually put it to good use, but I could use a little guidance on this. Where do I start?
Shield and Ground, Read whatever author is Suggested but I love the safety emphasis of the Correllian Sytem so I would definitely recommend taking the Correllian first Degree lessons it will provide a bit more focus than reading a bunch of scattered books, But hey I would read the books as well, Cunningham ,Amber Kay, Ed Fitch, Oberon Zell Ravenheart etc...
Some of the Correllian 1st degree courses are on video as Moon Jov said Rev Don is a natural Teacher.
Thank you very much. :) I am not terribly familiar with WitchSchool's courses-how demanding are they? I would love to take some, but I have a few concerns about it interfering with my other priorities. While it helps that I'm on summer vacation, I already have a bit of a curriculum so I can prepare for my fall semester of college.
