One should not speak he/she is a wiccan, pagan or any kind of ocultist but with the people he or she trusts the most to understand and be openminded. Sometimes you know your best friend enough to see that he/she won't understand or accept it.

Though to be fair, i only speak about this things with either people who can further me in my studies, or people who are intrested in learning themselves.

It's called ocult for a reason!

I agree with Drakill here a bit,One should not reveal unless one is ready. If it can get someone kicked out of there house than say nothing.

However if things work out for someone and they are ready to come out of the "Broom Closet" Than great.

It is up to the individual, I still have and never will reveal my 1st teacher she simply is old school and wanted no parts of being recognized.

I say that I am public but that does not mean that I publiclly reveal one who does not wish to be revealed. Blessed Be

You may not like this , but . . . go to your nearest magic store { notice i said magic not magick } and get some flash paper and { light anywhere match's } keep them in your pocket . Then next time some one pull's out a bible , palm the flash paper and match as you reach out to touch the bible have the match between your index finger and thumb kind of snap your fingers with match between them also have the flash paper close to the match to catch the flame . there will be a burst of flame and light that will last only 2 sec , jerk your hand away from the bible and act like the bible it self burned you . I know it's a bit childish but if people are going to be convinced your of the devil no matter what you say or do , you might as well have some fun with it .
If wicca is evil than so is christianity, look how the people of Jesus treated him, that whole relgion can easily be evil.
I have parts of the bible and I found that I could not read any more. To be honest, I have watch a movie called "Passion of Christ". The whole movie was about leading up to Christ's death, all the tourcher that movie I never want to see it again.

What I am trying to say is that Wicca deals more with the Balance of things and nature, and it even helps out with our lives, wicca is not evil at all, it's how people dicide to use their power and how they veiw the Craft and some people do not understand the Craft so they thnk it's evil without reading about it.

For young Witche's just ignore because those people really do not know where they stand in their life or relgion.

Remeber that some foe's use the craft for evil, however karma always has away of finding them and giving them what they desirve.
BLESSED BE

well i have the same kinda issue but not so extreme my friends question me about then say im wrong but will semi respect it some say be carefull but i guess coming out shows who your true friends are
that is most currently right, if you revile your whole self and they reject you than you know for sure they are not true nor loyal.
I'm sorry that's happening to you. :( I'm 15, but no one knows about my beliefs, not even my parents.
Zenua,
Our religion doesn't require us to preach the good news of the Goddess and God to others.

We know that Wicca isn't for everyone and we save our energy and time for those who really want to know.

Tuck the pentagram in your shirt and silently take great pride in the fact that you are on the Wiccan path, a path that could turn out to be very rewarding and helpful in your life as you continue your studies.

Use the Internet to network with other Wiccans of your generation.

Finally, remember that your parent or guardian has the right to sue adults who teach you Wicca. It is a very sad legal fact but often your parent or guardian must give written permission to any adult who becomes your mentor or teacher. For this reason, hanging out with and learning from other people in your age group might be best.

But learning from adults on the Internet is still o.k. because no laws have been firmly established yet.
I don't find much of an issue, I am 17 and in highschool, ofcourse you will have those select few who will be close minded  but I have found if you allow the goddess' love shine through you even those people do not have a leg to stand on. Keep up your practise and study and walk confidently on your path, school doesn't last for ever and I feel highschool is more accepting. Blessed travels
I am not a young pagan for this argument but once I was ,It was a rough difficult journey.br/>
I found a women who was adorned in many crosses.
I talked and mentioned out of body experiences and in her accidental comfort said "Oh I know , I am a witch"
I said "Teach me please" !! !!
She said NO.
Eventually I bugged her and she would say this or that But the point was She was a doorway. She did teach me things it was just like a battle. She was Great and old and funny and Quirky
She did not want to show me everything but she was getting older and I think she just liked that this young guy was paying attention to her as a student . She would also say "Witchcraft is for girls, Why do you care"'
I think she wanted me to be some other seeker but got me instead. Oh well Blessed Be
I am at peace with that

At your age people are rude, if people do not want to be open minded that is their weakness and your strength. I would not worry or associate with such ignorance. Be proud of who you are and find the right people to associate with. There are communities and churches with the Wicca faith. Just go on line and find them and do not worry about narrow minded people.

hey I have had some of the same as you. my friends think I'm playing around like yeah if your a witch I'm a fairy kinda thing. and one of my friends is christan and says "your going to hell for what your doing" I said "we dont beleive in hell or satan we worship nature and the earth". shes ok with it now that she have a idea of what paganism is about,

most of my friends dont know. they know I like all the witchy stuff but I wont tell them that I'm pagan.

I went to my friends mothers funeral and the priest looked at my pentegrame necklace and gave me evils for the rest of the funeral, I wanted to say something but I didnt.

my parents are very supportive about it they think it as "its her belifs, she can do what she wants as long as no one is getting hurt"
