Anybody watching GHA?

I've not seen it yet, but I am definitely going to give it a whirl. Is it the same group of people every week or are there new students each episode?

Right now, it's the same group of students, but they're "threatening" that new students will be "in the wings" to come in and take over if they decide to kick someone out...

I did catch a little bit of it , this is just what stood out to me from the bit I saw. I do not remember the name of the person that was interviewed but she was a medium/ psychic .When asked if she was sensing anything her reply was "no" . I was happy to see that,as many times on TV we see them instantly picking up things and somehow being all knowing while being able to make contact on their own time schedule

from being in medium/psychic groups and working with other sensitive people I know it doesn't work like this but many people who are not sensitive believe it does and should.

I do wonder about these people feeling pressure from the threat of being kicked off .I guess this is what could make it more like the reality shows we are used to seeing

Well, here's my take on it, FWIW... I'm not finding it to be very much of an "academy," as a bunch of punching bags for Steve and Tango, sad to say. I find very little teaching, except when one of the students screws up. Ah! There's a teaching moment! Geez! If these guys were looking to beat up on someone, why not get someone their own size, with their own level of knowledge? Now, I DO realize that we're seeing only what the editors of the show want us to see, but where's the teaching? I'm seeing very little of it.

I'm sorely disappointed in the show. I'm VERY glad a friend of mine who wanted to get on the show DIDN'T pass muster! Boy, would she have been sorry--although perhaps she could have told us some behind-the-scenes stories, if there was that much more to it than what we're seeing, etc. But wow!

I'll keep watching, just cuz I'll be curious to see what happens, and who, if anyone goes on to "star" in one of the shows, but dang, I'm disappointed! I was really liking the Psychic/Medium--and she's gone. I don't care for the Empath, but she's still there. We'll see if she grows on me.

I'm keeping my eye on a few of them. There are definitely some of them that I like ok, but I think that the way they're being "taught" is definitely not the way I work with people--not by a long shot!
What do you guys think?

IDK, I was disappointed for the most part, but decently surprised and pleasantly happy with the outcome overall. I was pleased by who went where. They'll be having a S. 2, so I'll see if it improves at all. I do think that what was portrayed on the show was essentially bullying and not teaching, but IDK... I have MET these guys, and being psychic didn't get the impression they were really the way they were portrayed. If I wasn't psychic I guess I wouldn't feel like I do, but I don't feel like these guys really did what they set out to do. I think one of 2 things happened, either they didn't really teach the students, OR it wasn't portrayed onscreen. IDK which it is...

It's on SyFy. It's no longer on, tho, they wrapped the Season 1, but will be doing a Season 2. You should be able to find the episodes on SyFy.com, tho, if you'd like to check it out.
