Why would a spirit or something bother one person only?

Sometimes a spirit may wish to communicate with only one person. There is usually a reason: She may be a sensitive, psychic, empath, medium, etc; she may be the person who NEEDS to hear whatever message the spirit has to communicate; or the spirit may have taken an interest in her for whatever reason of its own. This isn't uncommon, and so long as it's not abusive, I'd not worry terribly about it.

What you may wish to convey to your mother is that she may want to try to find a way to communicate to them, or if she is afraid of it, tell her to forcefully tell the spirit to "GO AWAY!" It's up to her which option to choose. The spirit may choose to continue to come back and get her attention, so eventually, she may want to attempt communication, just to get it to go away for good at a later date, but so long as it's not convenient for her, or so long as she's afraid, telling it to back the heck off may work for her.

And that's definitely a possiblity, but I've found honestly that these are rare situations... But it's possible.

I'm not saying I haven't seen it occasionally, or trying to seem like I was arguing--would never argue with you my dear! :) Just suggesting it was less common, in my own experience with the paranormal, than the other suggestions I listed above, so I never even thought to suggest it myself. Good observation, for sure... I guess I also don't get a "feel" on this one that this may be the case, if that makes sense?

I really wish I could get back to it, too! It's been a while, but I think I may consider starting up my own group or somehing... I think if I want to do it again, that may be what I'll have to do. But I'm not sure if I have the time to do it, either. And I certainly don't have the skills to do my own website, etc. So... for now, I wait. I know that with time, I'll find the solution! LOL ;)

Has there been anymore activity? Some time has passed so I hope it has been resolved.

I am fairly new to the group, but not to ghost experiences. If it still continuing or for anyone who may be in a similar situation in the future. Here is something from my experience as a paranormal investigator:

Sometimes ghosts become upset, confused or even angry when their possessions and property become someone else's after they die. I don't know if this is what is happening here, but it cound be. Did your mom recently recieve a family heirloom? Buy an antique or other kind of item that had a previous owner?

There are several possibilities as to what is going on here. All of the previous suggestions are great and they all need to be considered, it is up you and your mom to explore.
