And asking to dream about them doesn't work either.  So how do I figure out what my animal guide(s) are?  And if they are changing?  I feel a pull to so many animals.

Rev. Lewis has a first degree cd that can help you with visualization, and Christophers Pencazk's books, The Outer Temple of Witchcraft, and The Inner Temple of Witchcraft have very good visualization exercises.
If I had money, I'd do that. I fully intend on becoming a life time student, just after I get my tax return back.
Hi Dragua! Often your animal guide(s) will find you one way or the other. If you can't seem to meditate or dream about them, try looking to nature. Have you seen an unusual amount of butterflies or hummingbirds in your area? What about hawks, eagles, or herons? Does the neighbor down the road have horses that seem to call to you when you drive by? Has your home been visited by ants, grasshoppers, or ladybugs? These could all be animal guides trying to get your attention.

If you already feel pulled to a certain animal or animals, they may be animal guides that are also trying to teach you something. Pick one or two of them and learn all you can about them. Their reason for being in your life should appear upon closer study. Theres a list of books in the comments section of this group to help you learn more about your animal guides.

Once an animal guide has taught you what they needed to, they will slowly retreat from your life to make way for other animal guides or other messengers. You may no longer see that pair of hawks that would circle overhead everyday or the horses down the road no longer fascinate you as they once did. Sometimes however, an animal guide may stay with you for years, continually guiding and teaching you.

Hope this helps a little!

Thank you Ana! What if when a crow/raven appears whatever it is won't come to fruition? Say I put in an application somewhere and then a crow appeared to me, and cawed and I never got a call on the job. Or I started work and a whole murder of crows was nearby and I got fired. I haven't seen any near where I work. This guy at a grocery store thought I was crazy, I started talking to the crow, "Shut up, I don't want to hear you." And it cawed again, "Every time I hear one of you something goes wrong! Go away!" Is that a guide or just an omen bringer? How many can a person have at one time?
Hi again! I think a person can have many guides at the same time. I personally only have one who has been with me a long time but others have come and gone throughout my life. If you have many different messages or lessons to be learned, your guides will keep popping up until they feel you understand what they are trying to tell you. Others in this group have mentioned 5 or 6 guides (not necessarily just animals) that they interact with at one time so I believe it is totally possible to have many guides around you.

From what you mentioned about the crow/raven I would say that it is an animal guide trying to send you a message. I feel an omen bringer is more of an isolated incident sort of thing. For instance, you're riding your bike down the road and crow/raven swoops in front of you, startling you and making you stop. Just ahead a motorist runs a stop sign and crashes into a tree. If crow/raven hadn't startled you, the driver may have hit you, too. Or, if you hadn't stopped but ignored crow/raven when they obviously were trying to get your attention, and you kept going despite being startled, you could very well be injured. Sometimes the actual "danger" doesn't happen immediately but perhaps days, weeks, or months after our warning. Unfortunately, sometimes in hindsight we remember our warning and by then it's too late. However, an omen bringer, to me, is just a form of a guide sent for a specific and brief purpose but they are guides and are important too. So, maybe the jobs you were at (or applying for) were wrong for you and Crow/Raven was trying to let you know? I would do some research on crows and ravens and see if you can determine what their message is for you.

Good luck!

No, not all of mine are animals, I have my ancestor to talk to, and I'm not sure yet. He might reveal himself to me what he is when I'm ready, or he might not, I don't know. Thank you, Ana. I've looked up crows and ravens and they're usually communicators between the two worlds, and that's what I do sometimes. If I allow myself to concentrate, well actually not concentrate, on something I can sometimes come up with a few impressions.
Please keep us updated on your guides. I can obviously only have and work with my own experiences with spirit guides so I am always interested in another's experience and how they interact with their spirit guides and the way they communicate. I am so glad you joined this group and I hope you keep posting!

I thought at first, that I was crazy. I'd get ideas, it sounded like the thoughts were coming from someone else, but how could they? They are in MY head. And one day, I can't remember the question, it wasn't that important, I had thought, "Should I..." as I was walking to the back of my Mom's house. I got a VERY loud "NO!" I was half-scared and decided to talk to a psychic since it'd cost less than a shrink, and the psychic would admit I was psychic, the shrink wouldn't. I found an online free psychic reading place and I talked to a psychic. He told me it was a spirit, and that I'm not "nutters", as I had put it.
I would say that most of us here who work with animal spirit guides (or other guides) would agree with that psychic. You're not "nutters!" Thanks for sharing!
