These rich discussions must be pleasing to the Goddess as I was gifted with yet another communication. I'm reading Sue Monk Kidd's book, "Dance of the Dissident Daughter." She was both wife and daughter to Baptist preachers. After she was visited by the Goddess in a dream her safe, conformist life was totally disrupted and the book describes her journey from Christian tradition to the Sacred Feminine. As I was going to sleep last night, I thought that I would like a visit from the Goddess. I even drifted off wondering which Goddess it might be. I dreamed of Snakes. My mother, who passed over 30 years ago, was with me as was my 4 year old grand daughter. We were visited by several Snakes, all the exact color blue that I visualize during my throat(communication) chakra meditation. One of them bit me twice on the toe(toe symbolizes stability). Snake as Goddess is one of the oldest representations of the Sacred Feminine aspect of the Divine. The Snake was cast as evil in the Garden of Eden myth to discredit Goddess cultures(Harlots of the Bible) because in these cultures Snake was revered as Divine counsel.(Joseph Campbell, 'The Power of Myth') I'm still working on what my toe has to do with it. Maybe Snake energy has come to 'shake up' my life. The last visit I had from Snake, it was a live one in my mop bucket with a message heralding an acceleration of Spirit. I am grateful! Blessed Be!!!
