My Favorite essential oils, as I mentioned in my Introduction post, are Lavender, Pathouli, and Tea Tree. Or, at least they are the ones I use the most.

Lavender is my favorite for all around wearing/smelling. Its so soothing, which is a needed property in my life due to hectic schedules and worried mindsets.

Pathouli is the first scent I attribute to my husband. He wore it the night we met and I say thats how he got me, lol. Its so seductive and strong, I wear it to work to combat other unwanted scents.

Tea Tree is my favorite for its all around helaing abilities. I diffuse it in a room to get rid of any mold and the like. I use it to heal skin problems and to clean when I'm in too much rish to shower. (Mix 3-4 drops in a spray bottle with a half and half mix of rubbing alcohol and water. Shake well before use. This can be done with lavender too.)

I am getting into aromatherapy as well, but I was just wondering what online supply store you would suggest. Also, I went to www.hobbylobby.com and typed in essential oils because they are pretty cheap compared to some other sites, which is good for the money area, but I'm not sure if it is the best to use. Another website I looked at is www.Edenbotanicals.com, and another website I looked at was www.azuregreen.com, which was a featured ad. on here. I was just wondering if you knew anything about the quality of the products from these sites. Also, if you don't really know anything about the products from these places, if you don't mind, will you take a look at them and tell me what you think. Thanks so very much. :-)

I've heard many people are skeptical of hobby lobby. My best advice is read the label!
First, be sure that it is labeled pharmaceutical or aromatherapy grade. If it is not or it is labeled fragrance oil DO NOT USE on your body. Fragrance oils are meant to diffuse in the room and are made of a combo of ingredients and not pure essential oil.
Second, look into the type of oil you want to use and make sure you know the scientific name. True Lavender (Lavendula augustifolia) is one of many different types of lavender, so be sure that you aren't getting oil from a different species (same with Eucalyptus and Rose).

Azure green is an awesome site, though I have never bough oils from them.
Any online store should have a contact email if you have questions about their oils. Do not be afraid to ask questions.

Try locally if you can. If there is an organic food store nearby, they should have oils. A good test is a drop of tester oil on a piece of paper. If it stains or leaves a residue, the oil has been mixed with other ingrediants.
After a while you should be able to know what comapnies and brands you trust.

Also, Walmart has a Pharmaceutical grade Tea Tree oil 2 oz for around $8. Just saying...
Thank you very much for your reply. Also, thanks for letting me in on the Tea Tree oil secret. ;-) LoL
No problem of course! check out my blog for more essential oil and herb articles and secrets like where to find inexpensive tea tree oil. www.healingchic.blogspot.com
this month's erb was lavender and I have article after article on the subject including videos on how to distill the oil. Next month's herb is up for discussion and theres a poll on the side of the blog for poeple to vote between dandelion, chamomile, rose or tea tree (so far tea tree is in the lead).
