this is the begining of a book I'm working on about James Dean what shell I call it
. me and the rebel
. James Dean
. the guy behind the red jacket
new names welcome
I always knew who James Dean was but never really had the chance to see his movies until I saw “Rebel Without A Cause” (1955), when I saw him in the police station at the beginning crying along with the police siren from the top of his longs drunk I knew not only was he amazingly talented but really funny too, I knew from that moment I was going to be obsessed with him and I knew I was in love.
So who is this James Dean I hear you cry! Let me give you some random facts:
James Byron Dean was born on 8th February 1931 to Winton Dean and Mildred Wilson at the seven Gables apartment house in Marion, Indiana.
James and his family moved to Santa Monica where the family spend several years,
James was very close to his Mother but when he was 9 Mrs Dean died of cancer and his father sent him to Fairmount where he worked on a farm
on the train back to Fairmount with his mothers coffin
James was normal found clinging to his mothers gravestone
James and his father were never close
I felt so sorry for James when I heard that his mother died and his dad sent him back to fairmount.
I cant help but wonder what movies he would be doing now and what he would look like I mean come on he would be 74 the time of this writing,
I don't normally like people trying to be or act like Hollywood legends but when I watched the film biography called “James Dean” (2001) I though James Franco was excellent as James Dean he really played him well.
I kept having dreams about James but he was ghostly and he kept popping into my dreams I didn't know why but the more I kept doing research and looking at pictures I began to love him more and more. I cant look at the damaged car he died in, it upsets me
I watched East Of Eden when it come on the TV for the first time, this is the first movie James appeared in he was a no body then but he was amazing in it. He was the unloved son and his role of Cal was James, no one could have played Cal as great as James did.
