Hey guys,

We're back to the grind (LOL) on "Psychic Energy Codex," and we'll finish it up this month. The last discussion on this will be on the last 2 chapters combined, which are both quite short. For Ch. 9, here goes!

Ex. 1:

1.) When you walked into each of the 3 different places you chose to explore, what did you feel at first?

2.) Did the energy of the places have any noticeable energetic, emotional, or physical effects on you?

3.) Did your perceptions of the energy of the places grow more or less intense the more time you spent there, or did you experience any differences or changes in your perception?

4.) Was your experience of each place pleasant or unpleasant overall?

5.) What aspects of each place's energy inspired this?

6.) How do you think the energy of a place develops?

7.) Was the energy established at each place you visited before people started interacting with them, or do you think the energy of people frequenting them helped make them what they are?

8.) Explain how you think feelings have affected each place you visited.

9.) If there were young children in any of the places you visited, did they seem to be reacting to the energy of the place?

10.) If applicable, was there a difference in the reaction of children to the places you visited vs. the reaction of adults?

11.) If applicable, what does this tell you about the levels of sensitivity of people of different ages?

12.) Do you think it would be possible to change the energy of the places you visited?

13.) If applicable, what do you think you would have to do in order to make these changes?

14.) If you had to be exposed to the energy of these places you visited every day, how do you think it would affect you?

15.) Did you notice the energy of any of the places affecting the attitude, health, or behavior of the people you encountered there?

16.) What does this tell you about the interaction of place energy and people's emotional and mental state?

Ex. 2:

1.) What did the neregy of the location feel like when you first entered (try to be as specific as possible)?

2.) How did you feel upon first being exposed to this energy (describe any internal effects--mood changes, thoughts, or images that randomly appeared, as well as physical effects)?

3.) Describe normal daily activities that occur in this area when lots of people are present.

4.) Make a list of the types of energy and emotions you think people would bring to this location daily.

5.) Compare the above list with to what you feel in the location after people have gone.

6.) What types of energies and/or emotions seem to have the strongest impact on the feel of the place?

7.) Are there places in the selected location where energy seems thicker or more built up?

8.) If applicable, how does the energy of those places affect you?

9.) How did areas of significant flows of energy affect you?

10.) Can you describe your impressions of this energy (if applicable)?

11.) Are there any factors influencing the energetic environment beyond the energy people bring to the place?

12.) If so, what does this tell you about the energy inherent in places?

See you back in a week! Hugs and BB,

jen :)

Ex. 1:
1.) cemetery: calming, peaceful; restaurant: busy, frantic; waiting room: tight, uncomfortable

2.) cemetery: calming, relaxing, peaceful, good, all positive; restaurant: hungry, frenetic, anxious, wanting to leave, frustrated, excited, tired, anxious, anticipation; waiting room: irritating, grumpy, uncomfortable, restless, impatient, bored

3.) cemetery and waiting room: more intense, but cemetery more intensely positive, while waiting room more intensely negative; restaurant: more intense, then changed once seated to more relaxed and less intense, much more positive, but not intense.

4.) cemetery: pleasant, the entire time; restaurant: negative first, then positive; waiting room: negative

5.) cemetery: IDK, I've never felt uncomfortable or unhappy in a cemetery, have often gone there for calmness and to enjoy the healing powers of the Earth, perhaps it's my connection to the Earth and to Anubis, one of my patron Gods?; restaurant and waiting room: probably due to the people who have been there previously and were there at the time

6.) I think in general the energy of a place develops as a consequence of several factors--the Earth's shaping it, and the people and animals who pass through it

7.) cemetery: the one I visited is fairly old, and the property around here is also fairly old, so I'd have to say it's a combination of the above, definitely energy has already been established, but it's been added to by animals and people passing through as well--may also be cleansed periodically by the church across the street; restaurant and waiting room: I'd have to suggest that it's likely that these are more developed due to the people who pass through, based on location and usage of the buildings.

8.) cemetery: at first, I think that people may come in sorrowful, but I think they end up leaving with a sense of peace and closure, as they get to talk with loved ones and get the closure they need, it helps to forge a sense of relief that they can move on (JMO); restaurant: they're feeding hungry and often demanding people--the hostess area/waiting area is rather stressful, people are stressed, sleep-deprived, and anxious, hungry, irritated, and generally have mostly negative feelings, very few are positive when they wait, so it takes over that area, and until you get seated where you're getting service that you want, you kinda get that tenseness; waiting room: people wait, often for long periods of time, they're grumpy, unhappy they have to wait, they're irritable, sick, tired, etc, and they want to get in and get out, some complain for no reason, others complain for good reason, but everyone has to deal with everyone else, so it makes that a high-stress area as well, and it often doesn't change until you leave the building--it all rubs off on everyone else!

9.) n/a

10.) even though I didn't witness kids where I was, I do think there's a big difference in how kids perceive things--I've noticed in the past that kids get cranky in cramped spaces where the mood is essentially negative, and it only makes the parents more negative.

11.) I definitely think that young children tend to be much more sensitive to what's going on around them than many adults, until they "learn" not to be so sensitive.

12.) definitely yes to all 3, though I'd prefer NOT to change the cemetery!

13.) a cleansing would work on the restaurant and the waiting room, but it would most likely need to be repeated several times to get all the negative energy out, and it probably would need to be done on a regular basis in order to keep it out. they could also burn a calming incense while they're open in order to help with the atmosphere and make it more calming (sage or lavendar--or both should help some). the cemetery is positive, so I don't think a change is necessary

14.) cemetery: I'd be "poo'ing in tall-cotton," to borrow a phrase from my hubby--that means I'd be doing awesome; the other 2: I'd be miserable and have daily constant migraines that would be untreatable!

15.) cemetery: no; restaurant and waiting room: people were miserable, and they were grumpy and irritable

16.) it has a direct impact

Ex. 2: unable to do this one due to safety concerns
Hello Jen! Just wanted to let you know that I won't be able to respond to this until next week. I am working on a couple of deadlines, which I know you completely understand! Just wanted you to know I didn't forget about the book. Thanks for doing such a great job leading the discussions.
Ex 1
1. library-As funny as it sounds, there was a lot of really active, happy energy. I found out later that there had been a children's activity taking place a couple of hours earlier.
grocery store-kind of nervous and hurried, generally stressed out
bar-depression
2. I am pretty decent at shielding myself, but the energy at the bar really did bring me down some.
3. The first two places stayed about the same, but the depression of the bar continued to grow.
4. The library was pleasant. The grocery store was unpleasant at first, but subsided. The bar became more unpleasant the longer I was there.
5. I think most folks enjoy the library. I think people are generally in a hurry at the the grocery store and maybe a little stressed over the cost of it right now. The bar I think had been having customers that are really in a bad way right now due to employment or personal life situations.
6. I think the people who visited these places inadvertently deposited their own energies.
7. I think it was the people involved rather than a naturally occurring vortex or something.
8. Feelings seemed to be the primary energy of all the places.
9. In the grocery store, the children did seem to be getting cranky. I'm not sure if they were tired, suffering the oppressive heat we have right now (112 degrees), or interacting with the energy.
10. not really
11. n/a
12. Yes
13. I think large groups of people with a different mindset would have to deposit some energy there. I think a good clensing could also change things.
14. I am at the library and the grocery store regularly, so I don't think I can guess how it would affect me. If I started going to that bar regularly, it would really bring down my mood.
15. The people in the bar seemed really, really broken.
16. They are greatly connected.
EX 2
1. busy, productive, a little stressed
2. hurried
3. It's a busy work office, with people hurrying to get multiple tasks done.
4. stress, worry, excitement, anger, happiness,
5. I felt the stress and excitement.
6. stress
7. It seemed the most built up by the computer and fax machines.
8. Honestly, I spend so much time there with my husband after hours that it's hard to say how it affects me. To me, I am happy there because I'm picking my husband up from work. When he's at that location, he's not been out in the desert sun all day for work, so we know we're going to be able to go to the movies or something since he's not worn out.
9. I generally don't like to sit in front of the computer there.
10. It seems thick and murky.
11. There could be at that location since there are caves nearby with petroglyphs in them.
12. The ancient people that were there could've left something behind or it could have a vortex or two in the area.
