Hey guys,

In an effort to get this going as quickly as possible and TRYING to keep from making the same mistake I made last month(!), I'd like to start our voting NOW! So, here are our guidelines. Remember, if you don't vote or suggest a book, we don't know what you want to read! Please help us by letting us know what you want--we can't read everybody's minds ;)

1.) Our current book is fiction, so I'd like to see NON-FICTION submissions only.

2.) Everybody PLEASE submit in this discussion below what books you'd like to see for JUNE only.

3.) I'll leave the discussion open for about a week or so, roughly, and the book with the most votes wins, so if you want a book that someone else suggests, vote here for that book. If we need a tie-breaker, we should still have time to break the tie since we're starting early. :)

4.) If you have a question or concern NOT regarding the BOM for JUNE, either please direct it at me in a message or on the forum elsewhere!

Please note that I have dial-up internet service, and unfortunately, I don't see that changing anytime soon, so I may be difficult to reach, so please be patient with me. I'll check in as often as possible. ;) Thanks!

Hugs and BB,
jen :)

I'm still dying to read The Enchanted Cat by Ellen Dugan, but I'm also going to suggest a couple others to get us started.

1.) The Enchanted Cat by Ellen Dugan
2.) Toten Magic by Yasmine Galenorn
3.) Earth Wisdom by Glennie Kindred

Hugs and BB,
Jen :)
Im in a feline mood, I say Enchanted Cat.
I would vote for either The Enchanted Cat or Totem Magic. I think Earth Wisdom may be a little difficult for people to get if they are not using a ebook reader or ordered it immediately.
It looks like Enchanted Cat has the most votes, but there haven't been too many people interested so far. I'm wondering if, since it's as late as it is (and sorry, I'm having Lyme symptoms again and haven't been able to even get online for a couple weeks cuz I've been so sick!), I wonder if we should put this off till July, or do you want to go ahead and start asap? I have my book already, and I can start anytime, but I need to know if you guys want to now? Let me know!
Hugs and BB,
jen :)
Can we hold off until July? It would be nice.
Well, as it's now almost July, I'd like to get started with The Enchanted Cat, so here's our schedule for reading and discussion:
1.) Week 1: Introduction and Ch. 1--July 1/2
2.) Week 2: Ch. 2--July 8/9
3.) Week 3: Ch. 3--July 15/16
4.) Week 4: ch. 4--July 22/23
5.) Week 5: Ch. 5 and 6--July 29/30

I'll post the first discussion this weekend! And I'm about to post our next voting poll as well, but I've got a super-busy August, so we'll have a 1-month reprieve as well. I don't think I'll be able to manage reading for August. In September, my schedule should settle back to normal, as the school year starts up, the Special Olympics is over, and a lot of the day-time events get back to normal, so I can start the year back up a little more "normally," so to speak! lol

Hugs and see you soon! BB,
jen :)
