MAY 2011 BOM "Breaking Dawn" by Stephenie Meyer Wk 1, Disc'n 1, Bk 1 Preface-Bk 2, Ch.9

Hey guys,

I'm not sure what just happened there--if all you saw was the "hey guys" part. But let's try this again...

So, anyway, I was so excited to read this that I totally read WAY more than I was supposed to! Sorry! Whatcha gonna do? Shoot me? lol!! ;)

Let's start talkin'!

1.) What did you think about the 2 totally opposite ways that Bella's parents reacted, as opposed to the way she expected them to react?

2.) Were you at all surprised that Jake refused to attend the wedding, but that Seth did attend?

3.) What did you think about the confrontation between Bella and Jake when he did finally show up at the reception?

4.) Once the honeymoon began, did anyone begin to get an idea about what was to come? Like you could have started writing the basic plot about Bella and Edward and what started on Isle Esme?

5.) When Bella started getting sick, thinking it was food poisoning, did your mind head straight to "preggers"?

6.) What did you think about realizing there was another perspective in the book?

7.) What did you think about Jake and his whole "sure as hell didn't see that one coming" episode when he found out about Bella and her pregnancy?

8.) Please ask a question to the rest of us so we can have some more great discussion.

1.) I thought it was kinda funny, myself. When Bella was acting silly about Charlie, and he burst out laughing, I started laughing, too. But I thought it was funny when he got kinda bent out of joint that Renee didn't think it was a big deal.

2.) I really was kinda surprised that Jake couldn't put aside his feelings this once, for Bella, his best friend! It didn't surprise me, really, to see Seth there, but I just couldn't believe that Jake WASN'T!

3.) I was shocked that Jake wasn't a bit nicer, but I guess in a way it really was just Jake being Jake. I was glad when he backed off and took off. But I was pretty surprised that he would hurt Bella by grabbing her arms so hard!

4.) Oh, heck yeah! I was like, um, I know where THIS is going!

5.) I ran straight to preggers. I was absolutely ready to find out HOW it could happen, but I knew it was happening. If she WASN'T pregnant, I would have been sadly disappointed, I must admit. Honestly, I swear the curveball would have been that it really was food poisoning.

6.) At first, it startled me, and it was a bit jarring. I wasn't too thrilled right away. I couldn't really understand why she wrote it that way. I'd kinda like to ask her.

7.) When I saw the chapter title, I really was like, yup, here he finds out, cuz that's exactly how he'd take it.

8.) What did you think about what Edward requested of Jake?
ME: I was like, DUDE! Seriously? Wow... Bella's not gonna take that one sitting down!
