Permalink Reply by šuŋgmanitu mašté on January 21, 2012 at 11:42pm I just made a hiss sound when ever she is doing something she shouldn't. My cat, Pyxis thought fire was pretty. Yeah that wasn't good but hissing at her when she tried to jump up on my alter worked. She gets the idea and is trained not to go certain places now. It takes a while but my cat listens pretty well she doesn't like the hiss scolding. But for more stubborn cats you may need to do the water squirting. Repeated no-no's and they learn.
Permalink Reply by Aislinn on February 15, 2012 at 9:49am Merry Meet, River I also have a cat that loves my Altar so what I did is I moved my pet Altar down to where she likes to lay and use incense alot on my Altar and now she lays on the pet Altar all the time and plays with the other things on it that way she is happy and so am I.
I also leave her treats over there that way she knows it is ok to lay on the Pet Alter.
