My cat Pyxis has been overly loving since my car accident on new years eve. I sit she has to sit on me. I leave for work and she acts like I'm heading off to my execution. I'm not badly hurt from my accident, even though the truck rolled, so I'm not even sure how she knows. I'm sure in time she'll calm down but is there a faster way to let her know I'm fine? She really doesn't want me to leave her sight even closing my bedroom door is an issue. She's always been a bit of a baby and now she's really a crybaby. Her mom abandoned her as a kitten so I think she has mommy issue. My friend gave her to me for cat therapy because I don't get out much working over nights she helps with my stress now I think it's the other way around I need to help calm her down. Any ideas are welcome, Pilamaya ye.

Try gently massaging her, stroking her gently all over her body, her ears, gently kissing her on the side of the mouth (my cat loves this), letting her lie on top of you for comfort and snuggle time. Hold her paws in you hand. All of this could become habit-forming for the both of you, lol. It is around my house. Good luck. Oh, and I leave my doors open; my cat hates a closed door, too. Always has. BB,
Crescent
