A good cookbook for low fat recipes that are affordable is The Vegetarian Times Complete Cookbook. They are vegetarian, but you can easily add meat to them and they call for commonly available and low cost ingredients.

I eat no matter what, even when I'm full. I need to stop. And I eat until I'm over full. I have a hard time walking because of my back, I tried yoga but that only works for so long. Does anyone have low fat recipes to share that aren't expensive?

Bernadetta, I did the same thing over the holidays. Though it is wonderful to be with family right now, it is still pretty stressful and adds to my over eating in a big way. The Goddess has given us this day to love ourselves and start anew.

I can't seem to control my food intake.  I'm an eating machine.  I need to be very mindful of my thoughts and emotions.  Holiday Season = Food Everywhere.  I look forward to the new year.

My body is starting to feel very heavy.  I plod along when I walk.  I need to put some effort into loving myself.

Im glad this group has members that are finally talking, when i first joined it there was nothgin here. Im happy that everyon is comfortable opening up!

Waterfall- I know exactly what you mean about the voices and thoughts not going away. and totally understand your frustration with clothing, its one of the most frustrating things.

Michelle- Im very sorry to hear about your pelvis. I hope weight watchers can help you meet your goal! and im so relieved to hear you are not purging anymore! =]

I have to keep myself in check with a food addiction and it can be a daily struggle at times. Honestly, staying in control of my eating is the main thrust of my spare time some weeks. I used all kinds of unhealthy means to keep the food from making me gain weight for years. I cannot let myself be too much overweight due to a break in my pelvis that never healed properly. I'm a little overweight now, but I am not purging. I'm going to weight watchers instead right now. Luckily, there are other women at the meeting who are dealing with various types of food addictions and it helps greatly to be able to talk with them. I hope all of us can be supportive to each other here on this group.

Merry Meet, Meg! I just looked through the discussions you started and they are very well written!!!! Thank you! As I mentioned before, I am in recovery from Anorexia, but that doesn't mean those negative thoughts disappeared. I still get them. My body shape has changed so drastically that my clothes don't fit all that well anymore and it's very frustrating!
