Seeking Old Man's Beard!

No, not for my face...and I'm not THAT old...

I'm looking for Usnea (usnea barbata or longissima, etc) It's a fungus really, and great for infections. But to my knowledge it doesn't grow in flatlands like Indiana.

I'd love to trade for a bunch of relatively fresh Usnea. I have LOTS of herbs to trade, but if you don't prefer barter, we could work out a moinetary bargain as well.

This grows in our area (the Pacific Northwest), but it's kind of "off" season right now tho. However, depending on how fast you need it, we would be more than happy to collect some for you when we go mushroom hunting & hiking in about another month or so when it starts raining again (it rains about 9 months out of the year here, making it perfect growing climate for this stuff EVERYWHERE! lol).

I'm so envious! I lived near Portland for a while, before I was so into herbs, and I miss it much! And I sure do remember the rain...
But yes, I can wait! We're going to be looking for our own mushrooms here in Indiana as we always do - we just have to be careful of the soil as sand is ubiquitous. Sadly we never find any Amanita Muscaria, just the buttons and coral type (we call them cut-rrich in Czech.

yes I will like to trade herbs with you but do you know of any kind of herbs you may need from africa as am presently residing in west africa were I work presently am close to nature here you never can tell what goes down the pipe bless you my brother

Wow..visited Alaska this time last year and there was a TON of this! We used it to start fires...worked great! Alas...none to be found in Texas! If I hear of anyone that has any, I'll pass the info on!
