Magick and the Universal Natural Law of Attraction

I have recently read a "non-wiccan" book called "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne, which I have found very helpful in my Wiccan Rites, spells, and in Magick! I believe that it has empowered my spells to the tenth degree!
The basic principle is that all of our thoughts and emotions manifest in our lives eventually, therefore if you think of things in a negative way, you are inviting negativity into your life, and if you think of things positively, you are inviting more positive things to manifest in your life. When you throw in positive emotion, it magnifies the power of your positive thoughts.If you try to always feel good and focus on the positive things you want as if they are already happening, the combination of your thoughts and feelings eventually make those wishes manifest. Add magickal ritual to the mix and see the power increase dramatically. If you start to feel "bad" for any reason then you know that you have gotten off track and you need to find something to make you feel good and positive again.
In combining the ideas of this book along with the basic principles of Wicca, I have found a true and awesome power of goodness and light.
By the way on one of the first pages is the quote from the Emerald Tablet "As above, so below. As within, so without."

Watch your words, for they become actions.
Watch your actions, for they become habits.
Watch your habits, for they become character.
Watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.

And intention is key in any magick work.

Intention is the power you put behind the magick.
Intention is the purpose for the magick.
Intention is the meat of the magick.
Intention is the heart of the magick
Without inteniton you have nothing.

Yes, I understand that intention is the key, however what I am talking about is continued focus on that intent even after the magickal working has been done. Even while I'm at work, cleaning my house, mowing the lawn, etc, keeping that joy in my heart and continuing to direct my will toward the goal I have placed before myself. Concentrating my thoughts and emotions on that thing or event as much as possible, with love and joy in my heart and the knowledge that not only has the magickal rite made it so, but the purity of my will, concentration of thought, and strength of emotion has attracted it to me or me to it. It makes it an even more beautiful thing! Blessed Be!

I LOVE those books! Be sure to read "The Power". That's the next book in the series. It's awesome too!!! I'm not done with it yet, but I've enjoyed it so far. The info in both books has greatly helped my magical workings as well! BB

It was actually books and business seminars on the power of positive thoughts that drew me to Wicca, through these books etc I started to understand more about the energies we transmit even through simple thought, on further study on this subject and some of Carl Jungs work I was eventually led to Wicca :-)

I enjoyed both "The Secret" and "The Power" very much. The Law of Attraction series by Esther and Jerry Hicks is also quite good. And I agree; LoA principles really do work!
