How to make runes from Stones

Im just starting to learn about runes but i have a little problem my shop sells out every time they carry runes,witch is amazing lol but i would like to make my own set and i was wondering what tools i mite need to do this. Less pricey is the best but if it cant be avoided more expensive tools would help if i just new what i needed i could make them. so can any one help me?

Kenzie, thanks for the tip! I knew about the cleansing property of salt water, but I hadn't thought of using it to clean them also.

I have a very unusual set myself. If you can ever get to the woods (it would have to be at the right time of course) look for any 'shed' antlers. When we lived in a very rural area, there were lots of deer... antlers could be found if you were looking for them.
A simple hack saw, sand paper, a good chisel and leather dye... awesome set.
It might be a good idea when you are cutting the antler into slices to do so in a sacred (either already set or one you create) place. Visualize what you want when making them. Once cut, sand each edge & if needed lightly sand the flat surfaces too. You can use either a rotary tool or a good sharp chisel to make your markings. Use a fine paint brush to apply the leather dye... (don't pool it into the grooves though.. trust me, it can bleed into the porous antler) Once done... let them dry completely!... then use a light wax or oil to seal them... very very cool.
