Permalink Reply by AmberVine on December 11, 2010 at 8:27am We got "Growing up Pagan" ourselves. sons are 5 and 7 Kindergarten and 2nd grade.
We like it because there are activities to do like crosswords and word searches and is very basic concepts nothing too heavy for a kindergartner. It also has 2 very easy for children blessings for bedtime and morning that we enjoy doing together as a family before school and bed.

Permalink Reply by Rev. FireBlade Jadenscales on January 6, 2011 at 7:02am My youngest son just turned 13, and he's only just recently decided to try walking the Pagan Path. Finding books for younger children seems to be a little bit of a challenge. But, for a teenage boy? It seems almost impossible. I see books for teens, and books for girls, but not much that seems to be good for a teenage boy. I'm almost starting to wonder if he and I should sit down and write one, ourselves.
Permalink Reply by Tina Chandler on November 26, 2011 at 8:38pm Another thing you can try while they are so young, but this will be challenging! Try meditation. My son was 12 years old and got into trouble at school. Another child was picking on him all day and he held his temper until the last class (band) when he exploded. He went over three rows of chairs to get to this bully. I got called to the school and was told that he had two choices, anger management classes or removal to the 'juvenile corrections school!" He'd NEVER been in trouble before and the other child had confessed to bullying him. From the anger management therapist we got him into Tibetan meditation and Buddhist meditation. He discovered Bushido and Shintoism. The rest as they say, is history.

Circle Round: Raising Children in Goddess by Starhawk
Celebrating the Great Mother: A Handbook of Earth-Honoring Activities for Parents and Children by Cait Johnson & Maura Shaw
I've also read:
Raising Witches & Family Wicca both by Ashleen O'Gaea
I'll give a second cheer for Circle Round. It has some very simple, easy things you can do with younger children, from crafts to stories, to rituals. Growing Up Pagan is another excellent choice, and is made to be read BY the children, rather than just TO them or FOR them.
