That sounds great! I have a 9yrold and a 11yrold and I plan on teaching them how to make bread from scratch.

Hello everyone,
For the last few months I have been a full time housewife? Stay at home mom? Domestic engineer? There really isn't one specific title that can cover the full scope for that postion! Regardless, this has brought out the full kitchen witch in me! I make our breads, now that it is warmer out our garden is taking root and I have always canned and jammed. I have four kids 19, 19, 14, and 13. One of them a vegetarian.

I am excited to meet you all and can't wait to share recipes, ideas and the joy of being a kitchen witch!

First question...
Does anyone have a particular Midsummer menu planned? Any ideas? I was going to make some loaves of bread into the shape of the sun. Possibly a fruit salad with herbs. Any other suggestions? Do you have a ritual to go along with your Midsummer menu?
Sorry to be so long wind on my first message. :o)

Just picked veggies and herbs are the absolute best to cook with! I can't grow a garden here, but I manage to container garden. You can grow herbs, peppers, and tomatoes quite easily that way.
