Comment by Wisconsin Witch on February 4, 2012 at 11:06pm mm all. I just joined and I wanted to share an idea with you from a picture that I saw. If I can make my own broom stick why can't I make my own feather duster. I need one but none of them are personal to me. I am going to the fabric in the morning and am going to look at different types of feathers. Also I wanted to share an article that i saw about making your own tomaroe cages and vine crawling walls from long twigs and natural twine. Sounds like fun to me....lol
Comment by MaryAnn on December 27, 2011 at 9:36am I am sorry, I don't know what amount the government will let you make before they start lowering the monthly amount they pay you. I suspect it varies from country to country. I am not even sure what it is here in the U.S. You might be able to find it out if they have an online site.
Comment by Rev. Lilith on December 27, 2011 at 8:44am oh goody, my english isn't anymore what it should be lol... what i am scared about is that i will earn to much so that the feds and the officials that give out my monthly allowance will be having a fit and will start to nag for my money if you know what i mean???
Comment by Rev. Lilith on December 27, 2011 at 8:42am ty maryann and dark waterfall... im just scared that my social monthly allowance and the fed's aren't going to give me a hard time.... can one of you please tell me more about Etsy??? thank you!
Comment by MaryAnn on December 18, 2011 at 1:53pm I have two online stores, one on etsy and one on artfire where I sell my jewelry. I sell some of my jewelry for me, and my Bullets for Peace designs I donate part of the proceeds to charity. That way I feel I am giving something back and also trying to make a living for myself as well.
Comment by Dark Waterfall on December 18, 2011 at 12:48pm Hello Rev. Lilith and Merry Meet! Absolutely you should! I make jewelry, too, and set up an Etsy store for myself. You cold do the same. I know lots of people who got into crafting and jewelry making as something therapeutic (my mom for instance) and then they find that they have this abundance of bracelets, etc, and don't know what to do with them. Setting up an Etsy account and store is pretty easy, a bit tedious, but easy.
I'm also physically disabled and started crafting to have something to do with my time and before I knew it I had rings and bracelets and earrings all over the place, lol.
So, I say go for it! Bright Blessings!
Comment by Rev. Lilith on December 18, 2011 at 5:46am hi and mm all, i myself like to make jewellery.. with beads etc.. when i first started out it was just with a childrens beading box .. the reason why i wanted to do something with beading is because i saw a sick child doing that on the televisionprogram Extreme makeover: home edition with Ty Pennington.. and another reason why i wanted to do it is because 2 of my cousins (brother and sister they are) are and have been suffering from cancer (nonhodgkins) and to top this misery my uncle (god parent) and their father was diagnosed with lungcancer in i believe november 2008 and he died on december 1 2009... this gave me actually a boost to make the beading into something more proffesional and now i am using beads to make necklaces and bracelets etc... and i started out wanting to do this to also support the dutch cancer association.. but now with the global financial crisis etc. and me living on a social allowance because im physically handicapped i am beginning to wonder if i shouldnt do it for myself also.. so that i can make a little bit of money myself.... i would like to hear peoples thoughts and if you would like to see a few examples of what i made in the past please check my photos.... thank you

Comment by Michael on November 15, 2011 at 8:11pm Hey guys got a question for all of you crafters out there. Recently i finished an update to the school that should allow others to add classes to our system. While we have had a few people start we have only had one finished so far. I was wondering if i ran a contest to drum up some interest what type of prize would you all like to see?
I figure crafts are easier to start with with metaphysical classes. They can be about anything i am doing a few on different recipes for truffles and another one for electronics..
Just looking for ideas that can get that kick-started.
