Hey guys got a question for all of you crafters out there. Recently i finished an update to the school that should allow others to add classes to our system. While we have had a few people start we have only had one finished so far. I was wondering if i ran a contest to drum up some interest what type of prize would you all like to see?

I figure crafts are easier to start with with metaphysical classes. They can be about anything i am doing a few on different recipes for truffles and another one for electronics..

Just looking for ideas that can get that kick-started.

Singingwater, lots of people make their own BOS... and everyone does it differently. :) Some people make a simple binder, others make an elaborate leather bound book. My favorite place for instruction is youtube :D The best part of making your own BOS is you infuse your intentions into it, I think it helps create a bond which strengthens your magic. Again, youtube is my favorite reference for things like this, you can look up "book binding" and will be greeted by lots of options! Watch a few and check out ratings and comments.

I've heard of people handcrafting their own Books of Shadows. How is that done? Should I try to make one of my own? Does anyone have access to instructions for the binding?

One of my favorite things to do that is relatively inexpensive is to make dream catcher wreaths (or plain ones, whatever). You can find really cheap grapevine wreaths at any craft store, and fake flowers at craft (or dollar) stores. I use a twin to make the dream catcher portion, and there are lots of videos on how to do that on youtube. Add a little hot glue and voila!

I recently started a study group, and I have been looking for ideas for us to do as a group. These would be project or craft ideas that are relatively cheap but fun to do as a group. Does anyone have any ideas?

Many Blessings,
Rev. Phil

Well. It depends on how big you want it and what you want to bind it with and a whole lot of other things! If you google "Wooden book of shadows" It shows a bunch of pictures. It looks like you will also need hinges. I've made books in the past with drilling three holes in the front and back cover and using ribbon or rope or cord to keep it all together... I use a binder for my BOS with plastic pages that I can put my pages into to keep them clean, and edges sharp - but also for organization purposes.

Can anyone tell me the dimensions to make a wooden Book of Shadows? Also what tools and other things do I need to complete it.
