Comment by Mary Ciulla on September 10, 2012 at 4:45am I' ve taken antidepressants 3 separate times and was not helped by them. Recently I had a revelation that I may have ADD, and have had it all my life. I made an appointment with my doctor specifically to talk about that, but he brushed me off in under a minute and prescribed ritalin anyway. I took a few, but am bothered by the fact that I don't have a doctor who understands ADD. I expected him to send me to a therapist for a diagnosis. Now I have to change doctors. This is in a medical group, I wonder if I should leave there or ask for another doctor or nurse practicioner. I don't have the energy to pursue this, and I am very unhappy. Soberana Grace, welcome to the group and Blessed Be.
Comment by Soberana Graça on September 9, 2012 at 10:41pm Hi! I am new to WS. I am a clinical psychotherapist and have battled and recovered from depression, anxiety and substance abuse issues. I treat adults, but have experience with teens and children as well. Blessed be.
Comment by Paula Davis on September 5, 2012 at 12:25pm i tried st. johns wort in the past and found that it was not strong enough for me. due to having major depressive disorder i have to take regular meds instead of supplements as they were not enough to help me.
however, all herbs and medications react differently to every person...where one will work for you may not work for someone else.
