hello all i am 42 and am differently abeled due to a tractor trailer wreck i had in 2004 i have biladeral shoulder replacements and an artifical hip ( right ) and sever edima and am obesie my weight has always been a problem i am in the process of getting the gastric by-pass. i will know in 4 weeks when if i am going to get it or not. they want me under 400 lbs and right now i am at 404 but with the fluid i have built up on my body from edima my actual weight right now is about 375 and what makes me so mad is its so bad the fluid is accually draining through the pours in my legs and waist. and i have no life because of it i only sit in my chair and work/play on my computer. more play than work i mean i dont make any money with it. i am soory to drone on and on about my problems but i havent vented in a while. the Docs at the hospital said they wont touch me till after i have had the by-pass because of healing problems.so i am S.O.L. if i dont get the by-pass. well i am through for now except for saying Blessed Be and my all you dreams and wishes come true.

Blessings,
I suffer with bone pain daily as I have Avascular Acceptic Necrosis. I have had one hip replaced and have been told I am looking at the other side and both knees down the road. I do not take any meds for the pain, as the side effects are unbearable. I use the power of the mind over matter to block it out. Hot baths work well to when infused with special bath salts and oils in which I make. I have progress from a walker to a cane and at times it is not needed. For short distances I have progress to no cane, but anything over 100 feet I feel better with the cane as I never know when the other hip or knees will decided they are all used up. So, it's kinda of a crutch and does help ease the pain from the bad areas. I have a lot of other issues which I won't go into now, but I look at myself as an Over-comer no matter what happens, I will survive and move forward.

In Love and Light,
Starr

Since this picture of me was made, I have progressivly lost my mobility due to thre arthritis in my knees. I began walking with a cane, & in my last riual I had unbeknownst to me had someone standing @ a distance observing me, that stepped forward & offered to assist me in my return back. I was walking with a cane then (which has been wonderful in that I could also make use of it as a wand,) it has come to a point of not being able to stand but for moments @ a time. I just got a walker with wheels & a seat! It has been instrumental for me also in the regaining of my mobility.

Rev. Ladyowl is correct, if it is bone pain, there is no medication for which to deal with it, but we must go forward & do the best that we can do!

Hello All,

I have learned something that disturbed me because how do you handle pain.  If its muscle and cartilage not a problem, but if its bone pain, you will live with it, there are no drugs at this time that will cover the pain in bones.  With that said, I have a lot of health issues, I work around them because I don't want to stagnate and wither away to nothing, I am going to go forward and show others that we are not less able that they are...I am differently able and can do everything I can do as best as I can do..

Many blessings

I am in the same boat as for transporting my chair, and when I do...watch out world...even getting out of the house is hard for me for other reasons...but its something I never thought would happen for me. I keep thinking they will take it away etc... and I realize they cant and I cry...its not a bad, just in shock maybe

Ladyowl, I just got my powered chair recently as well... Isn't it amazing????? Unfortunately I do not have a way to transport my chair yet, but just being able to go around the block is fantastic! Congrats on the new chair!
