I Have been reading a series of Books do to being done with the Harry Potter books like 4 times over. I'm wondering if anyone here has Read the Belgariad by David Eddings. It is a story that has simularities to Harry Potter and am currious if anyone else is Aquainted with Garion and Belgarath and Polgara. This is a thrilling tale set over the course of 7000 years and has a chosen one who must save the world as well. You will meet a Spy and a Knight and several other colorful characters in this series. The Belgariad is a set of 5 books followed by the Malloren which is also 5 books. This author is in the same bracket if you ask me as Rowlings and Tolkin, With more of a Tolkin kind of Flair. I'm just curious if anyone other than myself has read this set of books I'm currently at the end of book three in the Belgariad.

This is new to me but I would surely like to read them. Where are they available? I will check around and see. I just love the Harry Potter books. your picture is just fabulous.
I would think you could get them about anywhere if no where else Amazon would have them. I hope you enjoy them. They are wonderful reading.
My husband has the Belgariad series, and he raves about them all the time. I'm really into the Terry Goodkind series "The Sword of Truth." It's awesome. I've read the first 6, and I'm waiting to get the money together for the last 5. They are amazing. If anyone's seen the TV series "Legend of the Seeker," it is loosely (and I do mean LOOSELY) based upon the Goodkind series. I'm also into the "Eragon" books. I am about halfway through the second one, and they are amazing, too. All in the same genre. I've read almost all of the Pern series. I think there are 2 remaining that I haven't read. Good stuff...

Hugs and BB,
Jen :)

I have read the second one and seen the Eragon film but I really want to read it and the third book based on the second one.

I have been reading the Dies the Fire series by S.M. Stirling. Very good books where the wiccans are not the crazy bad guys for once. , I strongly recommend!

I know of them as my son loves them but I have to confess to never having read them myself, must get round to that!
