lol John! you're from the bible belt! you won't find much down there! my hubby is from Tenn. and I know the feeling! Pearl and I were talking about the north and south in Ireland but it applies here also. lol McCarty huh? done any family research? My gggrandma also listed her name as McCarty in Ireland. Maybe we're related! lol

you're right! it draws you in and keeps you there! you are so lucky to be there. there is a girl I know on facebook who is going over and asked for some suggestions on what to see and where to go. I told her DON'T take a tour. Drive (even tho you guys drive on the wrong side and your steering wheel is on the wrong side lol) and just go! I gave her some places to see but told her no matter where she goes she won't be disappointed!

This country has some power over anyone who is from here or ever visits here. I like to think of Ireland as the most powerful witch of all.

we saw some really scary things too. We were over there when the checkpoints and boarders were up! so glad that is done! such a beautiful country to be split like that and torn apart like that! :(

It is magical! as a girl I told everyone I was born there - only one problem - and older brother who I said was born here! confused lots of people! lol It is in your soul. It has called to me as long as I remember! I should have been born there not my mom! ha ha! But if I win the lottery or in my next reincarnation, I'm gonna be there! My family teases me and say if I disappear they know to start looking for me in Ireland!
