Making a tincture will help.. I am writing a course on Tinctures and such.

Get you some Vodka (aristocrat is the brand I use)

There's an episode of Good Eats that details an easy way of making rose water, that is distilling water infused with the fragrant oils from rose petals. The host, Alton Brown, uses a big pot, a brick, a metal bowl and some ice to make a home made still. It looks really easy, though I've yet to try it myself.

Here's a link to the episode. It's on Baklava, and the actual making of rose water doesn't happen until the last few minutes so you may want to fast forward (though the rest of the episode is pretty entertaining and worth watching.)

WOW , like Im looking at this today and.. wow who's face do I see out off alll the peole on here. What a trip. I had a great book from the librairy. I will go and get the name of it again and send it to you. It has great photo's in it too. BB

I too am trying to learn how to extract oils from my herbs. I'm getting a lot of vague information. I can't seem to find safe heating temperatures per herb. If you come across this or find any good books, will you keep me in mind? Thanks
