Love the idea of riding from Seattle to Texas for the Lustration, but not in the cards right now. Look forward to that day which I am sure will come. Thanks, Rv. Michael!

Hopefully some of you fellow riders can roll into Lustration this spring on your sled and come fellowship with us, if so, look me up so we can swap stories and get to know one another.

I could use some wind therapy myself, and yes Antonio, the focus and mindfulness required to keep the bike upright reduces stress considerably. The bike and the ride are metaphors for so many things.

I still remember last spring when I was riding toward the sunset and the moon was rising behind me. I remember thinking "The Goddess has my back, and the God is lighting my way." I could ride that way forever.

I ride like the wind and all my stress begin to fade. Do any of you feel the same?

The perfect ride! It is kind of sad when it's over : ( . I was out today and it was perfect, just cool enough so you can wear all your gear and not sweat to death!

Feeling pretty smug right now. I picked the best day of October in the Pacific NW so far for a repeat of the ride around Mount Rainier - yesterday, October 13. Took a friend who loved it. This time, no thunderstorm, no road construction - a beautiful 70 degree day, 300 miles and I'm sorry it's over. I decided a mid-October ride like that will be part of my Samhain celebration, solitary that I am and also the fact that I was able to use a long, flat part ofthe ride to do a significant moving eyes-open meditation. Hope you are all riding safe, andmay you blessed be.

The roads we were on are closed pretty much from November through April in Mt. Ranier State Park. Just before you enter the park is a left turn up to Crystal Mountain ski area. So this is the last of the snow melt at that altitude (which is where we get our water).

70 degree's and snow that's great!

It was great - if we had another day we would have stayed somewhere and then gone around Mt. St. Helens as well, another 150 miles or so around. So much of the weather here is based on elevation - This is about 3000 feet. At sea level it was 50's and fog from the Pacific. The air temperature in this photo was probably about 70 F.
