You cannot force a spirit to move on. Mediums are not exorcists, they are highly sensitive beings that can channel energy from the spirit world. In most paranormal investigations the determination that allows the ghost hunter to make contact with a spirit heavily relies on the energy frequency that the ghost hunter is sending out into the magnetic field. The Earth is surrounded by magnetic fields. These fields are generated by solar storms, changes in weather and chemical reaction within human body cells and ionic currents of the nervous system. The more spiritually heightened a human being becomes, the more energy that is emitted into the air.

I have been a psychic, medium and paranormal investigator for over thirty years. There are ghosts that roam this earth looking for explanations to their sudden passing, while others seek closure to their restless haunting. The state of mind one is left in upon death will reflects upon the state of mind that will become their living soul.

If the spirit is not bothering you do not bother her. Research your home and find out who she is and why she is there. Ii is not common for a spirit to just appear.

The afterlife is an in between spirit plane to the spirit world and the mortal realm. This is a place where "ghosts" are still with us because their spirit energy has suffered at death enabling them to move on. These longing souls are the spirits of human beings that chose to cling to their mortal existence all because they did not accomplish something in life, they were afraid of the unknown or because they could not bear the pain of permanently leaving a loved one.
Before any investigation, always find out why the paranormal activity in a haunting has become active. Any new or unusual activity in a building can cause a ghost to stir.

Certain music, clothing or an item from the spirits past, photographs, painting, remodeling, moving of furniture, construction, rewiring, stress, fighting, the appearance of highly sensitive new comers to the haunted building, the appearance of new animals or children, the death of a loved one or bringing a new item into the home that reminds the spirit of its living past.

A soul is the source of a human beings electrical energy, spirituality, emotions, memories and moral conduct. It is a known fact that all human souls can remember the people they knew and loved when they were alive.

Because the human soul remembers emotions and feelings, ghosts can be heard moaning, laughing, screaming or crying and many ghosts can even be playful, violent, or mischievous. This does not mean that the entity is actually happy or sad it just means it is recalling the feelings of happiness or sadness from when it was alive.

In many hauntings, the ghost hunter will find that buildings and homes that have been standing in the same place for years, as well as just newly built properties will have paranormal activity all because they were built on forgotten burial grounds or in some cases they hold forgotten bodies buried deep inside the walls or under the foundations. An unclaimed or forgotten body will always provoke a spirit to enter the habitat of a dwelling.

As far as hauntings are concerned, the fact is there are thousands of spirits roaming around us every day, both inside and outside every building and home.

Thank you for the wonderful information. I also have been a medium and psychic for many years, and my beliefs and yours coincide perfectly. I was not upset by the recommendation to 'exorcise' the spirit but as I said,it provoked my curiosity. Thanks for taking the time to respond to thoroughly.

MM, Oberon. IMHO, I don't like to prod a spirit, but offer it a choice, if it's a peaceful spirit. On the other hand, if it's mischievious or evil spirt, out the door it goes. The first order is your protection, with cleansing and casting a circle to keep it out of your space. Only then can you start to communicate with it. If it is indeed a pleasant spirit and you enjoy its prescence and it enjoys yours, you may want to keep it. It's your choice. Just remember to keep up your protection during your spells, meditations, rituals and the like. It's one thing to have a familiar in the room, another to have a lurking spirit joining you. Thanks Crescent. That's exactly what I did, i offered her a choice and she chose to stay. She has caused no mischief and seems to be very happy here and she loves my pets and spends most of her time with them and they in turn love her and the attention they are getting. She is the manifestation of a young girl and I bought her a teddy bear as a Yule gift and she was very happy with that. i think she makes a fine addition to the family. Thanks for your insights.

MM Oberon - we have had many spirits passing through our home over the years and I usually tell them as soon as they make their presence known that they can stay as long as they wish. In my experience, when a protective sphere is cast around your property which excludes the nasties from entering, those who can enter are those attracted by some good energy in your home or the Soul energy of the people living there. Sometimes the property is built within an energy portal or as it's also called a "portway", so spirits will move through there to wherever they need to travel.

In the end, these spirits move on anyway - they travel here during their periods of rest, for recreation and other purposes, in the Spirit World and know they have to get back There!
