I have already planned, penned, and committed money to my garden this year.  As always it takes a full month to get everything the way I want it.  I plan to open up two more full fields in the rear of my property.  The goats will open them up first;P  Have you already planned yours?  What methods do you plant buy?  Did you save seed or are you buying new seeds?

Yes, I have planned out beds and committed money and time to this years gardens. I am going round with two more three sisters gardens. and hoop and row covers for my other beds. I have saved many seeds over the last 5 years and that really helps with the cost. starting some things as always indoors at the end of the month. happy gardening aukxsona
Hi aukxsona ,
How's the garden planning going? Have the goats done their jobs yet?
We've already started our garden here. I have tomato and peppers planted and keeping them covered at night until there is no chance they will freeze.
Blessings,
Betty
I'm starting to plan now. Due to the nature of the weather here I won't be able to plant until near the end of May. We have three gardens total -- flower garden (although I do very little planting there -- aren't perennials great?!), vegetable garden, and herb garden. We also have quite a few fruit trees, etc.

This year I hope to move my herb garden to a sunnier location. The old location will be used as yard area for my kitties -- we intend to fence it in, attach it to the home, and link it to a doggie door, thus allowing the fur-babies to play outside at their whim.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a safe, all-purpose fertilizer? Last year we used small amounts of bagged manure (mixed in well with the soil) and compost.
I compost my chicken manure. However, you can use fish guts for nitrogen, kelp powder for p or K, and rock phosphate. It's safe and they are natural. I get mine from a place in MO.
I live in an apartment with no personal yard for now. I have an indoor garden that I love an nourish all day. I sprout my own veggies and am learning to eat raw ljifestyle. I have always loved working with herbs. these are some of my favorite subjects.
I have been planning all winter..

I like doing seed but I don't have room for that. So I buy my plants untill I can get more space.

We grow tomatoes, cukes, peppers and hopefully more this year.. I need a tiller bad..

Well my garden is still on hold, tooo wet, too cold this year, even tomatos and squash plants in my little cold frame are getting hit pretty hard this year. I am in zone 8, the weather Gods are frowning this year around year. I bought material to make a garden fairy poppet this past weekend, and will make it this weekend. Also making a prosperity poppet for myself and a gf who is moving soon I am adding 3 chickens to my yard this year. I will say that my radishes are up with 2 little leaves, but they are on the back porch, the baby chicks are under a heat lamp in the garage for now
