Here are some of my favorite books that I think would be interesting to read from a Pagan perpective:
Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins
Witch Child and the sequal Sorceress by Celia Rees
The Crucible by Arthur Miller
Wicked by Gregory Macguire
Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones
Children of the Sea series by Daisuke Igarashi
Confessions of a Pagan Nun by Kate Horsley
Sophies World by Jostein Gaarder
The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke
PS. Orion, any idea why the author of The Mists converted to Christianity before she died? I find that very interesting.
I loved The Mists of Avalon...good book and good movie. I've had Ancestors of Avalon on my book shelf since high school. I tried to read it at the time but had difficulty getting into it. Since I'm graduating college this week, I'm going to try to re-read it from a more mature perspective and hope I can get into it this time around. Has anyone else read this one?
PS Harry Potter is the most amazing series of childrens' literature to come out in the 20th century. Twilight can suck it! HP is an amazing hero in the fight of darkness vs light and all of the female characters in the books are strong and independent and could probably be classified as feminist.
