I may completely re-train after I have moved so I can use Reiki on animals... if you are interested in animal Reiki, here is a free telephone monthly get-to-gether where they exchange information ...... I am going to join in to learn what i can ... the following is from the Animal Reiki Source website ... the advantage of this is that it, despite the phone costs, it is free and you can pick up a lot if you like me are new to animal reiki ... dolmadraka

Reiki And Meditation.

Having trouble meditating? Simply activate and channel Sei He Ki just before your meditation session to aid in clearing your mind. MIND BE STILL. very handy use :)

A customer at work told me about there being an animal reiki certification and here is the info about it ... i may be able to do something similar through the internet, I just have to move first ... dolmadraka (the following are taken from their websites ... both women co-wrote the book i love so much ANIMAL REIKI dd)

My cats also love Reiki and so do my dogs. I have been doing Reiki on a older dog for a year now. She could hardly walk when I started, now she is running all over.

Yeah, I'm not sure where essential oils and cats got combined--but I never used both in conjunction with one another! LOL ;)

Just a warning - never use essential oils with cats as they are extremely sensitive and some oils are toxic to them. Reiki for cats is excellent!

OMG! The cats absolutely LOVE the stuff. I've attuned 2 or 3 of my cats, and they actually come and give ME Reiki now. Love it!

I am a Reiki master also and have noticed that Reiki on myself is not very effective, though my cat loves it. DolmaDraka

I have found that Reiki on oneself isn't as effective... You might try using peppermint in a diffuser in your room--it often mixes well with eucalyptus, so it shouldn't be a problem. Peppermint or mint itself works pretty well to help with congestion. You actually might find lemon (essential oil) very beneficial as well--it helps with headache/migraine caused by sinusitis as well as neuralgic pain, plus it stimulates white blood cells, which helps the immune system to start fighting infections. Immortelle is excellent, if you can find it (essential oil again), as it is a general resp. aid, soothing colds, coughs, bronchitis, and sinusitis. It boosts the immune system and helps keep allergies and infections at bay. It also helps remove mucus from the lungs and induces relaxation and sleep--might be a good one for nighttime diffusion. Myrtle essential oil helps to clear the sinuses really well, and tho it's similar to eucalyptus, it's not stimulating like eucalyptus is, but it's sedative in nature, so it may also be good for nighttime use. Others you might consider trying (essential oils, that is) are cajaput, naiouli, lavendar, pine, tea tree, and sweet thyme--all may help, just experiment, see what works for you and what is pleasing to you as well. As for herbs, I'll send you an e-mail, I have a great document that'll help you out!

Maybe someone can help...I have been suffering from severe sinus congestion. My Doctor put me on a very high dose of prednisone. It has caused my blood sugar to sky rocket. I use a neti pot daily, I have a humidifier and a HEPA air cleaner in my bedroom. I put eucalyptus in the humidifier, which freshens my room and the house. Does anyone know of something else I might want to try. I am a Reiki Master/Teacher, but can't seem to fix myself. Now I am starting to get a sore throat. Any help would be appreciated.
