Greetings. I was hoping to ask my naturopath/psychologist/ceremonial magician about the following, but I've just learned he's on indefinite leave as he needs to recharge himself. (I'm not surprised, there are only 2.5 naturopaths within a 100 miles radius of me [one guy works half-time, he's supposed to be "retired"] and the demand is growing past what these men can handle. As it is, people have to drive out-of-town to see them.) He may be back in practice in April or May. I am not close enough to any Tibetan Lamas to ask about energy work.
I am the oldest child and have always been ill with chronic illnesses. I didn't think anything of this until I read Dion Fortunes' PSYCHIC SELF DEFENSE book. I then wondered which parent it was. Thanks to a hypnotherapist in Georgia we found out it is my mother who's draining me. We didn't get to do anything about it though. I know her family history, her life has been harder than I could ever dream of ... i just don't want to be her energy source. Twice I have successfully unlinked from her only to have her fall sick in bed for 3 days, both times. She has to take care of dad, who has chosen not to take care of himself if it takes too much effort. However, at present, I have to sleep around the clock after hanging out with them or I get sick.
My question is this ... I want to take the cord off but this time I want to hook it to another energy source, not a human or animal. I can not explain to her what she is doing, she wouldn't believe me, assuming that i am being evil and mis-led ... one of her favorite words starts with an "s" (she considers Reiki to fall under that category) Advice please ... A pine tree? An angel (that would fit her religious structure)? Thank you. DolmaDraka
If you practice reiki, your enrgy will recharge itself after you lend it out. i suggest sticking to learning all you can about reiki and other forms of reiki for there are at least 500 sytems out there. You can make your mom a chi generator. Or you can buy a Welz chi generator, they start at around $100. I will give you the recipe to make one, i have to find it. Blessings.
