Many people don't realize how touch can change change an attitude, an emotion and more.  When getting into super advanced Reiki training, you find that Reiki can be done in many forms of touch.

I've had a very sick dog over the past month and a half.  She has been running fevers well over 105 degrees.  One night her fever got up to 105.7 degrees.  Immediately, I started Reiki.  I used a form of one handed Reiki.  I put one hand on the dog and grounded the other hand.  I used my mind and many symbols.  Basically, while chanting Choka Rei, I visualized drawing out the fever with the hand that was on the dog and channeling the fever out the ground hand.  Within 10 minutes I got the fever down to 103.8 degrees.

When rubbing your pets or holding them, you are doing Reiki.  They love it.

Unfortunately, my story don't have the best ending.  Using the Reiki, I was able to keep her comfortable.  Her liver failure was started moving to other areas.  We had to put her down yesterday.  I know that the touch of Reiki helped her pain and suffering.

Blessed be to you all,

Ricky

I also have a dog that I have been doing Reiki on. Silky was about 7 when I started doing Reiki on her, she was a doog that lived at the meditation center I move to. Silky had bad back legs. They got her from a shelter and they did not know how her legs got that way. Be for I started she could walk but not run and would get tired fast. I started Reiki on her while the owners where gone on a trip. When they got back Silky ran to meet them. They asked me what I did, I told them and they where happy and said keep it up. Now 1yr later silky is running and playing with the younger dogs and whipping up on them :). She is a very happy dog full of energy. I am all for Reiki on pets.

I am so sorry to hear about your dog. I am a veterinary technician and animals are my passion. I am sure you brought her comfort. I hope to be able to learn how to use Reiki myself. I am very much into healing others.
If your interested in learning Reiki, I'm a Reiki Master/Teacher. I currently have 6 students worldwide. If your interested email me at: mysteriesofreiki@gmail.com. We can chat about the course I teach. BB, Ricky
I was in your position around 18 months ago. I had my dog for 13 years and she developed kidney failure. This was before I studied for my Animal Healing Exam, so there was not much I could do for her only love and care.

Now I am a trained Animal Healer and Reike Practitioner and I find myself in the same position again. I adopted a rescue collie dog from the Blue Cross, where I volunteer, I have found out she has liver disease and pancreatitis she was very poorly. With determination and love, she has improved and I have performed Healing on her and she carries a Carnelian Crystal on her collar.
So Sorry about your dog, I am now a Reiki Master and really wish I had known about Reiki 3 yrs ago when my Nikita got stomach cancer. I could have, at the least, reduced her pain somewhat. I did do cancer treatment on her and vowed I would never put another of my furbabies through that horrible ordeal. I have 8 animals (6 are my own and all rescued) 2 are my fosters, also rescued. I use Reiki on a regular basis with all of my pets and they respond very well and let me know when they've had enough.
